Herbie Kohl (D-Nobody) and his megalomaniac sidekick Rusty Feingold (D-Me!!) were happy to sign on to the Final Solution penned by David Obey (D-Anger), the BabyKiller 'Catholic' from Potato Country.
But for some reason, Herbie and Rusty don't want to join other (D) Senators to quash "tax-and-trade."
Democrats from Rust Belt states are already skeptical. Their region would be hit hard by the new rules, especially those with large coal industries. A total of 15 Senate Democrats have signed a letter urging that any cap-and-trade legislation "ensure that consumers and workers in all regions of the U.S. are protected from undue hardship." Those signing included Senators Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin of Michigan, Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor of Arkansas, Jim Webb of Virginia, Evan Bayh of Indiana, Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Ben Nelson of Nebraska.
Lemmeesee, heah. Wisconsin has a large printing industry, a substantial manufacturing base, and 2/3rds of its electricity comes from coal or natural gas.
So obviously, our two Senators think killing off these enterprises is "best for Wisconsin."
Great. We coulda saved a bunch of money and simply agreed to be represented by Illinois Senators.
