Evidently the "We'reAllDoomed!!!" news coverage of the SnowIceDeath has sunk in to the feeble minds of some....
This morning, North Avenue west of Calhoun Road was clear down to the pavement, with some dampness on the surface. No ice, no snow-slush, no mounds of slop.
Despite that, at least one driver was barrelling through the universe at 23 MPH (yes, I clocked it--the damnfool was in front of me), which is 12 MPH under the limit, and about 27 MPH under the safe speed.
Please go back to Floriduh, or wherever--or DRIVE, dammit!

Yes Dad, I think we have become South Carolina or Georgia. I have been in those states when there was an inch of snow predicted and the places shut down!
Now, with the wall-to-wall coverage of an impending trace of snow from all the "Weather Teams" we have become winter wimps...
A great moment to exercise some compassion. Obviously, someone felt unsafe to drive any faster.
Word verification: "coest".
