Journalism?

We had dreamed of a world where our 17 years old daughters wouldn’t be striped naked and raped on the front page of the New York Times, above the fold

Thus, The Wizard writes the obituary of 'professional' journalism.

It's fair to say that the Palin nomination has ripped the tattered smiley-face off the Left--and exposed them for what they are.

Sub-humans. Hypocrites. Trailer-trash living in DC and NYC penthouses.

You are so hilarious sometimes, daddio -- and irony immune. What was that thing about women in the military asking for it?

You're so full of it, OS.

See - unlike liberals - we realize women are not, in fact, men and have different strengths and weaknesses.

Simply put, if Palin had a "D" after her name, this wouldn't be an issue.

Liberals hate conservative women. Period.

Your memory's a bit hazy, OS--but it was a fine point which everyone ignored, so I'll repeat it.

MEN are pigs (except you and I, of course) and putting women into close quarters, under stress, with men WILL LEAD to TROUBLE.

Nothing in the post (nor in the underlying article) suggested that "women are asking for it."

It does take two to tango--and some women, perhaps, allowed things to get out of hand. But "asking for it"?

Not what I said, OS.

Further evidence that professional journalism is dead:

Mayor Palin: A Rough Record, by Nathan Thornburgh

In that article, Thornburgh interviews John Stein, the guy Sarah Palin beat in her first mayoral election. He claims, "She asked the library how she could go about banning books..." Even though no other corroboration of this claim was found, Time felt comfortable publishing an allegation of a one-time political adversary. Not the hallmark of professional journalism.
