The Reality of the DFL in MN WIth Milwaukee Echoes

Here's a clear-eyed history of the Democrat-Farm-Labor Party in Minnesota.  It will help you to understand where all the money is coming from (hint:  Communists here and abroad) and how deeply ingrained this is in that State.

 ...Working from inside the Democratic Party, Hubert Humphrey helped engineer the merger. The Farmer-Labor Party was riddled with Communists. Humphrey knew it, but he had no trouble working with them. At the time he was a Popular Front kind of guy with no enemies to the left.

Packing the 1946 party caucuses, Communists promptly took over the DFL in Hennepin County (including all of Minneapolis) and in the state. Then Minneapolis Mayor Humphrey could not even get elected a delegate to the state convention. Communists picked up no fewer than 120 of the 160 Hennepin County delegates. In Minneapolis’s Second Ward, both Humphrey and his ally Arthur Naftalin (future Minneapolis mayor and father of Paul Butterfield Blues Band keyboardist Mark Naftalin) went down to defeat....

It got worse for Humphrey.

... Humphrey was nevertheless named a delegate at large to the state party convention, where he was to serve as keynote speaker. As Humphrey rose to speak, however, he was shouted down as a “fascist” and “warmonger.” In his meticulous 1984 biography Humphrey, Carl Solberg records: “A beefy sergeant at arms shouted at him, ‘Sit down, you son of a bitch, or I’ll knock you down.’ He was not allowed to finish his speech.” Solberg comments: “It was an outright coup.”...

However, things changed--temporarily.

... [Humphrey] organized a successful counterattack on the Communists to throw them out of the party. By 1948, the task was more or less complete and Humphrey was on his way to national prominence....

Then the inevitable reconquista:

 ...Now Minneapolis appears to be ground zero of the revolution fomented by the radical left and its shock troops among the Antifa/Black Lives Matter gang. They are idiot Marxists who substitute the categories of race for the categories of class in the service of the revolution.

Their local supporters are already embedded in our political institutions. Fifth District Rep. Ilhan Omar sits in Congress and comes to town occasionally to rouse the rabble. Former Nation of Islam hustler Keith Ellison burrows from the inside as Minnesota Attorney General. Tim Walz mouths the obligatory platitudes and shibboleths as nominal leader of the state. Amy Klobuchar — the most popular Democrat in the state — has gone along for the ride. ...

The Communists Party was very active in Milwaukee, too.

 ...The party was also very active in Milwaukee’s labor movement, particularly in the Congress of Industrial Organizations’ unionization drives of the 1930s and 1940s. Most notably, Milwaukee communists assisted workers with organizing the CIO union, UAW Local 248, at Allis-Chalmers in 1937....

Russia overplayed its hand in the post-war period, which is why:

 ...In November 1949, at its eleventh annual convention in Cleveland, the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO) expelled two member unions—the United Electrical, Radio, and Machine Workers of America and the Farm Equipment Workers—for their alleged disloyalty to the CIO and support for the Communist Party. Within a year, an additional nine affiliates had been expelled....

George Meany--a genuine US patriot--ran the AFL and stomped out the CIO Communists--but the UAW's leadership right through Walter Reuther remained hard-Left, surviving only because the industries they organized were generally very profitable, thus being able to meet most of the UAW's demands.

You will note that there are some parallels here.  Baldwin and Evers, also 'popular Democrats' are mouthing the obligatory platitudes, as is the Really Dumb Mayor of Milwaukee.  Pocan of Madison and several other Democrats voice the (Communist) party line, duly transcribed by the "press."  But Milwaukee's VERY strong Roman Catholic presence countered the Communist pressures effectively.  Minnesota--particularly Minneapolis--does not have that strong a R.C. influence.  That IS the difference--so far.

(By the way, Milwaukee's Labor Press was still going strong in the '60's and '70's.  Fred Taylor was the publisher, and a very affable fellow.  He didn't wear a hammer-and-sickle lapel pin, but......) 

Truth Bomb on "Training"

 The resident lawyer at Grim's place found this.

 Modern corporate training is built to produce a checkbox, not a mechanic. Modern consumer documentation is built to win a deposition, not to teach you anything. Modern “how-to” media is built to monetize attention, not to transfer skill. Those are three different poisons, but the lawyers are the one that made the first two mandatory.

And you can see the societal consequences everywhere. Repair literacy collapses. Trades become credential-gated while simultaneously deskilled. People lose the ability to reason from symptoms to causes. Everything becomes a black box serviced by a priesthood. Machines become disposable because maintenance is treated as unauthorized tampering. The consumer gets trained into passivity. The worker gets trained into compliance.

Having been subjected to "check-box" training, we can say this analysis is 100% correct.  And that's not the worst of it; they didn't bring up HR practices which are far worse in long-term effects on companies and their customers.

Lesson?  Find someone who learned by doing and using COMMON SENSE.   

VERY Organized and Expensive Insurrection in MPLS

 One of the good guys infiltrated the Signal chat-room of the insurrectionist scum in MPLS.

Somebody is paying a crap-ton of money to organize and maintain the network.  That network includes teachers--no surprise if you're even distantly acquainted with the MN Teachers' Union types.  They make WI teachers' union look like Ron Reagan backers.....

Would be a shame if..............ach...........nevermind. 

Are Republicans Napping Again??

 We all know the facts.  ICE is in Minneapolis because that city is a "sanctuary," meaning that City and State LEO's will not cooperate with ICE in removing dangerous illegal aliens--nor in removing illegals who were ordered to get the Hell out of the country but defied said order.

That means that ICE had to do the job alone, and as soon as that began, a national network of hard-Left insurrectionists, including Black Lives Matter and the Party for Socialism and Liberation, paid hundreds (thousands??) of Rent-A-Riot lowlifes to show up and create as much trouble as possible.

And they did.

Both Minneapolis AND Minnesota refuse to provide LEO assistance to ICE, meaning the number of ICE personnel had to be greatly increased in order to round up and deport the thousands of illegals living in the Twin Cities area.

The chaos surrounding the arrests resulted in two deaths, the second of which happened yesterday.

Fox6 Milwaukee got reactions from four Democrats and ZERO Republicans.  Channel 12 carried reactions from even more Lefties.  That was fast; we could surmise that the Lefties had their statements ready to go before the rioter was in the ambulance.  (Don't bet against that.)

Either the Republicans are napping--which is their habit--or Fox6's "reporters" simply stacked the deck--which is not their usual style.

 ...According to 39-year-old William Vermie, he was doing little more than standing on the sidewalk observing ICE agents detain an individual in his Minneapolis neighborhood on January 13th, when he got swept up by officers himself.

He ran straight to ABC News about the incident.

"They read me my rights and asked me if I wanted to answer any questions without a lawyer, and I said no," Vermie claimed in an interview. "And then they said, 'You'll have an opportunity to contact one later.'"...

That's called "LYING BY OMISSION."  What did this Lefty Liar omit?

 FACT CHECK. This individual was arrested for assaulting a law enforcement officer—a felony and a federal crime.   All detainees have the opportunity to communicate with their family and lawyer.

Oh.  Well.

Those three "liberal" (read:  committed Leftists) Cardinals allegedly spoke up after Leo gave them the thumbs up.  (Maybe he did; maybe he didn't.  Leo ain't telling).

 Green Bay Packers player Rasheed Walker was arrested at LaGuardia Airport Friday morning after he tried to check a bag that contained a handgun and ammunition, prosecutors said. 

The 25-year-old offensive lineman was taken into custody just before 11 a.m. after telling a Delta Air Lines employee that his luggage contained a locked box holding his 9mm Glock pistol, according to a criminal complaint. 

Port Authority police were alerted and responded to Terminal C, where they searched his bag and found the firearm and 36 rounds of ammo secured in the locked case....

Obviously, Walker had no malicious intent, or he would not have disclosed the location of the gun.

But that doesn't make any difference to the cops.  They have to arrest him.

Can Milwaukee Public Schools Be Saved??

 The new Super of MPS sees a budget bloodbath coming.

.. "I just want to make sure you understand all of the implications of every decision you have to make," said Dr. Brenda Cassellius at Thursday's school board meeting. "I will also be bringing cuts -- deep, deep cuts -- into the district for contracting and central office and across the board."...

Hmmmmm.

The teachers' union--a very obnoxious bunch--is demanding a 2.6% raise, which will cost about $55 million.  But the District already faces a $100 million shortfall, and you can be sure that Robin Vos told the Super that the suckers taxpayers are in Full Revolt Mood.  If he didn't, he should, especially after the $250 MILLION fraud MPS perpetrated on Milwaukee taxpayers a couple of years ago. 

Expect a teachers strike.  And if the Super has guts, expect to see strike-breakers, too.  That may be the only way to save MPS.  If nothing else, a strike by the highest-paid and most-richly-benefitted union in the State will tell you that the Teachers' Union priorities are NOT the children in school.

Oh--and buy popcorn futures!

US Citizen? Higher Wages Arriving!!

Trump's plan is working.  Deporting millions of illegals (criminals or not) means US citizens will get higher wages.  That is already in progress, as overall wages are up about $1,200/year/person.

Another way to learn that?  Read the Wailing and Ululations from restaurant trade-pubs.

 ...In an opinion piece for Restaurant Business posted on Friday, Jonathan Maze pointed to restaurants in the Minneapolis area being shut down off and on amid ICE operations, and how it affects business:

 Fewer workers mean restaurants will once again have to compete for employees the only way they can, by paying higher wages. Wages over the next two years are expected to accelerate, according to Oxford Economics, from 3.7% this year to 5.6% by 2027. That won’t just affect restaurants, either. Because these food-producing industries will lose workers, too. And if they have to start competing more aggressively for workers, then that will lead to higher prices for meat or vegetables....

Not stated in that quote:  the number of restaurants is going to shrink as the price of materials and labor increases into a price-sensitive market.  We are seeing restaurant closings in MKE already, probably due to the fact that 'boutique' places--by design--do not have large customer bases.  The next wave of closings will be related to self-deportations and price increases.

The money?  It will be going to American citizens!

MKE County Board Gets Really Stupid

Along with those losses, which are extremely significant, comes the severe diminution of Party coffers, which are currently being fattened by Somali-like frauds which kick back hundreds of millions to their patrons, which are 99.44/100ths Pure Democrat.

It is NOT an accident that Wisconsin's Election Commission (and its D-dominated judiciary) are doing their damndest to prevent fair elections and transparent audit-and-review of those.  And if you object that "Robin Vos is doing the same thing," well, yes, he is, and for the same reason.  Being the #2 banana in a 10-electoral vote State is a LOT more significant than being the #2 banana in a 9- or 8-vote State.  Robin likes his perks, too.

 

Why Dimon Screeches Over 10% Credit Cards.....

Jamie Dimon is the Big Kahuna at JPMorgan Chase, a Big Kahuna Bank in New York City.

His Big Kahuna Bank issues lots of credit cards getting interest rates of anywhere between 15-30%.  That's an excellent return, to say the least.  Some would call it "Usury," but let's not get hung up there.

Dimon started screaming like a stuck pig about Trump's desire to max out credit card rates at 10%.  Dimon predicted all sorts of maladies beginning with 'some people will not get (usurious-rate) credit,' then moving to 'the economy will collapse if people cannot get credit cards,' and going apocalyptic over the Rise of the Oceans and Baking of the Plains.

Last night's "news" brought triumphant squawks from the Coiffed Ones that 'US consumers are paying the cost of tariffs according to a [Kiel] study.'

Well, that 'study' has major flaws which the Coiffed Ones will not mention.

...Their key finding is a coefficient of −0.039, with a standard error of 0.024, significant only at the 10 percent level. For non-statisticians: this means the estimate is quite noisy. With 25.6 million observations in their dataset, achieving only marginal statistical significance suggests enormous underlying variation in the data. ...

 ...The deeper flaw lies in what happens when tariffs reduce imports, which is exactly what the study says occurred. The authors report import values and volumes fell by roughly 28-33 percent. This is where their methodology breaks down....

That's because exporters stopped selling the low-priced goods.  Why?  Because they could not take the hit to margins required by both maintaining their low price AND paying the tariffs.

 Finally:

...the Kiel data only goes to HS6, a much broader category that might simply be “frozen beef.” In short, they are measuring tariffs with a ruler and prices with a yardstick.

This means when the authors assign a tariff rate to their data, they’re using an average across products that actually face quite different tariffs. Some sub-products within “frozen beef” might face 50 percent tariffs while others face 10 percent. The mismatch means their tariff variable is measured with error.

The consequence is predictable: when your key independent variable is noisy, statistical results get biased toward finding no effect. And “no effect” of tariffs on unit values is exactly what the authors interpret as “full pass-through to Americans.”  ...

Fed "Judge" Forcing Insurrection Declaration

To a great degree, that ruling is a big "Doh!!"  The prohibitions are utterly useless--except to lawyers who will be raking in mint (paid by taxpayers) for 'civil rights violations' which are purely a matter of judgment by on-scene officers and commanders.

 More serious:  the ruling tends to push the Government into a declaration under the Insurrection Act, bringing in the 101 Airborne or perhaps a couple of MEUs.

Note well:  the 101st was called in to counter the deliberate civil rights violations in Arkansas perpetrated by the Democrat Governor and Democrat Mayor of Little Rock.

She holds an M.D. from the University of North Carolina's med school and now teaches at Emory in Atlanta, and practices her very own brand of "medicine" in that city.

So--if you're in Atlanta, and are in need of a physician claiming to be an OB/GYN, use your brain.  Avoid "Dr. Nisha." 

 (Might be interesting to inquire about what UNC's med school teaches on that subject.  Remember that it was a UNC doctor who developed Covid-19, too.)

"Warrantless"?? Read It and Weep

 Here's something that the Archdiocesan-paid lawyer doesn't tell you.

... ICE officers “are sworn federal law enforcement officers who operate within the confines of the law. Section 287 of the Immigration and Nationality Act provides ICE officers the authority to arrest aliens without a judicial warrant,” ICE explains. The agency notes: 
 

“In fact, no judge in this country has the authority to issue a warrant for a civil immigration violation. Congress, by statute, vested this authorization solely to supervisory immigration officers.”

  “Local police officers don’t need a warrant when they encounter someone breaking the law in a public space, and the same holds true for ICE officers.”...

So an Administrative Warrant is sufficient for arrest of illegals who are violating the law.

Gee.  Wonder why that wasn't mentioned by the Archdiocesan-paid lawyer.  Hmmmmm??

Global Banksters Back Powell (!!)

The Throckmorton Proposal

"Buck Throckmorton" is the pen name of a sagacious businessman who writes for Ace of Spades and a couple of other publications.  He's not a bomb-thrower but he does not pull punches.

He has a suggestion for Donald Trump:  hold a 4-person colloquy on the Courts.

 ...perhaps President Trump might compel a reluctant John Roberts to take action in a more genteel way. Quite simply, the president can organize and host a summit of the leaders of the three branches of government to discuss constitutional roles and responsibilities of the branches of government they lead, and how they constitutionally interact with each other. There should be just four attendees at the summit: President Trump, Chief Justice John Roberts, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and Senate Majority Leader John Thune....

The discussion will center on Article Two's first sentence, of course.

Throckmorton has ideas!!

 • Ask Roberts, Johnson and Thune their understanding of the role of federal judges, what constitutional powers they have, and why.

• Ask Roberts if he defends the rogue activism of district judges. If so, explain why. If not, advise why it is being allowed.

• Discuss what the Executive and Legislative branch “checks” on the judiciary are in our “checks and balances” system. What powers do Congress and the Executive Branch have to check rogue judges?

• Should there be more balance in the application of checks and balances? Courts are very aggressive about checking other branches’ powers. Why are there no checks being imposed on the judiciary?

• Ask Roberts his opinion on judges who are routinely overruled. Is repeatedly being overruled by appellate courts a sufficient reason for impeachment?

And most importantly…

• How will Chief Justice Roberts respond if/when Trump announces that rogue federal judges have no constitutional authority to manage the executive Branch, and Trump will no longer comply with their rulings....

There is not enough time to run all the obnoxious, unjustified, or just plain obstreperous "rulings" through the appellate process, and--frankly--the more the Rogue Gang plays its silly game, the more the Common Man in this country grows impatient--and angry--with them.

Something that Roberts should consider for a nice three-day weekend.  MLK weekend will do. 

Colombia Caves to Trump

 Perhaps the most significant benefit-effect of the VZ apprehensions is beginning to play out in Colombia (and, shortly, in Mexico).

..The Trump/Petro talk lasted 42 minutes in which the Colombian president agreed to:

    1) Implement bombings against FARC and ELN dissidents.

    2) Start fumigation with glyphosate on illicit crops.

    3) Lift the suspension on extraditions of drug lords.

    4) Guarantee free, transparent, and secure elections for the opposition.

    5) Collaborate in the restoration of Venezuela.

    6) Strengthen security on the Colombia-Venezuela border to combat groups like the ELN when they attempt to cross the border fleeing the new order imposed by the United States.

    7) Stop persecuting the opposition.

    8) Peacefully and quietly abandon the Casa de Nariño on August 6, 2026. Petro has already begun fulfilling these 8 points, which is why he will soon have a meeting with Delcy Rodríguez....

Some of this may not play out completely, as the Narco-Terrorists are likely to resist.

The fools who think Trump's biggest goal in VZ was petroleum are many, and myopic.

Scaring the living s**t out of Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, and Bolivia was most of it, and so far it's working.
