Good: Manufacturing Employment Up in US

Lots of cross-currents in the economy!

One good sign:  manufacturing employment--usually well-paid and fairly stable jobs--is up.

There were 12,934,000 people employed in the U.S. manufacturing sector in December 2022, which is more than in any month since November 2008, when there were 13,034,000 people in this country employed in manufacturing....

'08 was the year of the Great Crash.

But the long-term picture shows what happened when Globaloney Midwits Clinton and Bush took control, admitting Red China to world trade and then MFN status.

...Manufacturing employment in the United States hit an all-time high of 19,553,000 in June 1979, according to BLS.  Since then, manufacturing jobs have dropped by 6,619,000—or 34 percent—to the current level of 12,934,000....

Clinton and Bush traded manufacturing jobs for retail, entertainment, fast-food, wholesale/distribution, and private-sector bureaucrat/financier slots, thus requiring TWO incomes to raise a family instead of one.

Result?  Less children, thus more (illegal) immigrants; more reliance on schools to raise/discipline what children there are, leading to Porn Ed/Grooming; and the Tyrant-Statism we see in Mordor on the Potomac.

Other than that, things are fine.
