It is foolish to hero-worship Israel.
Israeli soldiers in international waters boarded the Al Awda ship headed to Gaza to deliver relief supplies on Sunday, detaining everyone on board, including a USS Liberty survivor, after beating and tasering some passengers, according to an eyewitness account....
One of the captives is a survivor of Israel's attack on the USS Liberty. You remember the Liberty, no? That was a US Navy signals-ship stationed in the Med. Israel killed 34 US sailors "by mistake" when it attacked the ship.
Israel, of course, will have a prepared story about how this relief-supply ship was carrying nuclear bombs or 12 divisions of soldiers, or some such thing--or maybe that the ship was full of RUSSIANS!!! RUSSIANS!!!
Israel may be a US ally, but that doesn't make Israel pure as the driven snow. Don't forget that.
