When "Law and Order" Crosses the Line

We mentioned that Republicans have a tendency to fall for "law and order" and "defense at any cost" silliness.

Here's another example, found by Boots/Sabers:

In an effort to make sure the most violent offenders are held accountable, Governor Walker today asked the Attorney General to submit a plan to implement the collection of DNA at the time of arrest for some felonies and serious sex-related offenses...

Really?  Mere 'arrest' is now an excuse for DNA collection?  We can't wait for charges to be filed?  Conviction (if any)?

The Governor ought to re-think this one.

He'll have plenty of time to think about it after the Recall election.

Here is where the Republicans need to listen to the Libertarians and embrace them.
