McCain invented that headline, but the BushBoyzzz did the deeds--and continue to work on proving the truth of it.
Sometime around 6 a.m. Wednesday, the apologetic emails went out to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) – Jeb Bush's plane had broken down and he was stuck in Maine. For want of two wings, the former Republican governor of Florida was unable to fly to Washington to give lift and luster to the release of a report calling for comprehensive immigration reform.
I've been consistent on "immigration reform." The current limits on Mexican immigration are utterly ridiculous--something like 12,000/month are legally allowed into the USA.
Ted Kennedy wrote the substance of the existing legislation, which is a fact not noted often for the obvious reasons--just like the fact that Ted Kennedy wrote the enabling legislation for HMO's. The MSM will never, EVER, embarrass Ted Kennedy.
But 'comprehensive immigration reform' as proposed by the Losing McCain & Co. is not the answer.
