The UW system informs the MSM that "safety plans" will be impaired by the tight budget.
Kinda, sorta.
...the report cautions that plans requiring "extensive staff and funding commitments" will take longer to fully implement because of a lack of funding. Those initiatives include hiring more mental health counselors to treat troubled students and developing plans for how campuses will resume services after a crisis.
'Mental health,' eh?
The UW report said agencies will increasingly apply for federal grants, collaborate with police agencies and turn to student fees and tuition to fund safety initiatives. But Giroux said a desire to keep campuses affordable will limit how many positions can be added, such as mental health counselors.
Hmmmm.
