Ow, Canada!

The Big Green Goddess ruling Canada is going to cause problems.  For them.

...For the past few decades Canada bought into the carbon scam and enacted climate change goals into law for carbon pricing, alternative energy production, industry and manufacturing costs.  These mechanisms to control “climate change” are nuts in the big picture.

In order for Canada to position their economy to be in alignment with the rest of North America (USA and Mexico), Carney would have to reverse years of legislated rules and regulations.  That is not going to happen, and Canada will always be at a disadvantage because of it....

Whoops!!  Whoopsie!!

Even more interesting:

... It’s a moment of existential crisis for Canada, a senior Carney government official told POLITICO. Waiting out the Trump administration isn’t an option, the official said, arguing that what’s happening in the United States reflects a generational shift — not a temporary disruption

(Quoting Politico)

That Canadian official is probably right, meaning that the Hard Left in the USA will have to take drastic action to clamber back into the driver's seat here.

"Highly-Trained Professionals"......They Get PAID for This???

Saw pretty much the same thing on Fox6 last night.

 Jaw-dropping journalism.

"Are you committing fraud?"

"No."

"I believe you!"

Oh, yes, there's more.

CBS attempts to discredit Nick Shirley by showing there were actually *FOUR* children at ABC Learning Center the day he visited…

But what CBS ACTUALLY did was PROVE HIM RIGHT.

Babysitting 4 kids while the federal government pays you for 40 KIDS is FRAUD.

This place has taken almost THREE MILLION DOLLARS in subsidies over three years.

And to top it off, they asked the owner if he was committing fraud, and he gave the most unconvincing “no” in history.

Video at the link.

Will Vos De-Junk-Food SNAP??

Below we asked if Vos will enshrine natural law into Wisconsin Statutes.

Here's another tough question for Robin (not asked by any "reporter" in his little lickspittle sessions):

Will he De-Junk-Food Wisconsin's Food Stamp program?

...Starting New Year's Day, some food-stamp recipients around the U.S. will be banned from using the government nutrition assistance to buy candy, soda and other foods

Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, Utah and West Virginia are the first of at least 18 states to enact waivers prohibiting people enrolled in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, from purchasing certain foods....

Let's re-phrase the question in terms Robin understands:

How much money can Robin extract from Pepsi, Coke, and The Retailers to keep taxpayers paying for crap-"food" while calling it "nutrition"?

There.  Now you understand how Robin works.

"Assisted Living" Frauds Are Next

When Somalis say "assisted living" they mean "Assist Somalis in Living Very Well."

Minnesota continues to pay millions of dollars to assisted living facilities owned by a man indicted for money laundering in the state’s massive Feeding Our Future fraud scandal, uncovering what may be a 15th program exploited for Medicaid fraud....

Raising your eyebrows?  Here's more red meat:

... Data shows suspicious patterns in Minnesota’s assisted living sector, with payment rates growing 10 to 15 times faster than other Medicaid programs, even as enrollment has only doubled.

The concentration of facilities in smaller suburbs appears disproportionate to the population. Minneapolis, with a population of nearly 430,000, has 169 assisted living facilities. But Brooklyn Park, with 84,000 residents, has 181 facilities — more than Minneapolis, a city five times its size. Brooklyn Center, with just 30,000 residents, has 106 facilities, compared to 83 in St. Paul, which has a population of 307,000....

Nothing here that is totally unreasonable--yet.  But there's a lot of smoke in the room, ain'a?

Now, then:  if some enterprising reporter drops in to see how many people are being "assisted" aside from the owners........well...........

Will Vos Confirm Natural Law?

Robin Vos called several reporters to talk about .......well........not much, really.  He did produce an interesting statistic about Wisconsin's population decline forecast.  There was some blather about legalizing pot and the tax sitch.  But the idea of defining "two sexes" in Wisconsin Statute?

Not brought up.

Only two sexes, boys or girls, will be recognized in all administrative rules, regulations and public policies for North Carolina starting Thursday.

The Legislature by veto override of first-term Democratic Gov. Josh Stein established the law on July 29. Sections have previously been enacted, and the main piece happens with the start of the new calendar year. North Carolina is the 18th state to define and recognize only men and women...

Notice that the law required an override of the (D) veto?

Robin doesn't have the balls (see what I did there?) to go for this.

HOW MUCH for "Refugees"??

Looks like the same old same old Spend-a-Lot routine.

...[T]wo Republican senators [are] pledging to vote against the bill for Labor and Health and Human Services due to its inclusion of $5.69 billion for refugee assistance services....

Why?

...The amount is less than the $6.3 billion that HHS’s Administration of Children and Families, which runs various refugee and asylee support programs, received in fiscal years 2024 and 2025.

But it is still three times higher than funding levels prior to Joe Biden's presidency...

(Catholic Charities and Lutheran Social Services would be hardest hit if Lee and Paul prevail.)

Screw that.  Cut it back to $1BN even; they will have to make do, just as we do when buying beef

Good Vetoes From Trump

You will notice that the Propaganda Central operation (AP/Scripps) wrote the headline for this story.

President Donald Trump issued the first vetoes of his second term on Tuesday, rejecting two low-profile bipartisan bills, a move that had the effect of punishing backers who had opposed the president's positions on other issues....

Both were wastes of taxpayer money.

Good to see that Trump will veto money-wasting no matter whose party gets banged in the process.

This is what we voted for.
