The Mask Mandate

It is NOT just happenstance that Box-Wine Pelosi and notorious Lefty Aldercritter Dimitrijevic both propose mandatory masks at all times in public.

People in the City of Milwaukee would have to wear face coverings in public spaces to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, under an ordinance that Ald. Marina Dimitrijevic said she plans to introduce next week....
.......nor that the somewhat left-ish "Restaurant Coalition" is demanding same.

For that matter, every restaurant and bar owner in Glendale, Oak Creek, West Allis, Wauwatosa (maybe), Brookfield, Elm Grove, Menomonee Falls, Butler, and New Berlin is also VERY hopeful that this ordinance passes.  Only the fools in Milwaukee think that their meals and cocktails are irreplaceable.  Really?  Is there a special Johnny Walker that only Milwaukee bars serve?  A special "MKE-only" Miller Lite?  Srsly?

As to Pelosi:  let her rant and puke, just like her old-crone pal Hillary.  She can wear a mask while she kisses my ass--which, like my face, will NOT have one.

Bubba & Barky Now Are Also-Rans

That's "Clinton" and "Obozo", of course.

Reported by David Hardy.

Barak Obama and Bill Clinton have just fallen to 2nd and 3rd great gun salesmen in history. Antifa is leaving them in the dust.

"More than 6.5 million gun-sale background checks were conducted from January 1 through April 30, according to the latest NSSF research, which showed a 48% year-over-year rise from the same period in 2019....
Also of interest:

When I started writing on the gun issue in the late 1970's, the US was producing 3 million firearms a year. In the last few years, it was six million per year. Now, its six million in four months.
That's about a 600% increase in production in roughly 40 years.  I don't think it would be prudent for Antifa to sound the trumpets and charge, do you?

Time for Popcorn As Democrats Self-Immolate

Are you entertained??

The Lefties who own the Bucks and operate the Fiserv Forum threatened to sue the Democrat Party after the party failed to make a payment towards the convention--which they cancelled.

The Democrat Party is still $15++ million short of its fund-raising just to not-really have the convention, sorta.

The Bucks owners netted $2.5 million from the Democrats, the party they love.

All that from Bice at the J-S Online.

Oh, yah---Jake Tapper was told to STFU by some dude after Tapper characterized a Muslim mouth as "anti-Semitic."

Watching the Left eat its own children is entertaining!!

It's no wonder that the NYT/WaPo/CNN bunch are writing fiction about Trump.  That distracts from the troubles the (D) bunch is having.

CJ Roberts Is Actually a Murderous Groucho Marx

Ah, yes, the Bush family's gift to 'active measures' racism and genocide of humanity......Chief Justice Roberts.

Three years ago, Roberts was on the OTHER side of a near-identical case.  The decision went against Roberts' position, 6-3.

So this time, Roberts contradicted his previous position 'to preserve stare decisis.'

Roberts becomes Groucho Marx:  "These are my principles and if you don't like them, well, I have others!"

"Independent" Winker for WI-38?

WI-38 is the Assembly district surrounding Oconomowoc.  Currently it is represented by a Republican.

Now we have an "independent" running for the slot, Melissa Winker.  (Where voters typically are 2-1 (R) over (D), one does NOT run as a  "Democrat.")

Moms Demand Action, Clean Wisconsin Action Fund, National Association of Social Workers, and WEAC, not to mention Sierra Club and the Firefighters (who are extreme (D) supporters and who can become ......rowdy).  This last is not a surprise, as Melissa's hubby is a firefighter.  WEAC is no surprise, either, as Melissa is a teacher.

If you didn't get the hint from "Moms Demand Action"--a radical anti-gun outfit, or from WEAC, you haven't been paying attention.

Melissa is NOT "independent."  She's a Democrat/Lefty candidate.

She claims to have a "Master's" degree.  So she's also a RACIST.

Against Racism? Don't Donate to This Catholic Charity

If you're against racism, some dude in the State of Washington just made your charitable-giving life a whole lot easier!

Rob McCann, President and CEO of Catholic Charities Eastern Washington,...[said]  “My Catholic church and my Catholic Charities organization is racist. How could they not be?”
Q. to the E. to the D.!

Don't donate to Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington!

Dissin' Tony Evers

Good for a laugh.

Up Nort', watching the newscast on some Up Nort' channel.  They run a clip from Madistan wherein Abortion Barbie Palm announces that the State would like to keep the National Guard active for Kung Flu testing beyond July 31 when Fed funding for that purpose dries up.

Palm is on-camera, making the announcement.

At the very end, off-camera, Evers speaks, telling all of us that he's going to ask Trump to extend funding.

The camera NEVER went to Evers.

Who's your Daddy, Tony??

Christian Hope vs. Kung Flu Panic

Cdl. Sarah mentions "hope" in his book "God or Nothing."  In the passage (P. 201/202) he also shows us what Kung Flu panic is really all about.

...We see how decisively the self-understanding of the early Christians was shaped by their having received the gift of a trustworthy hope, when we compare the Christian life with life prior to faith, or with the situation of the followers of other religions.  Paul reminds the Ephesians that before their encounter with Christ they were 'without hope and without God in the world.' (Eph. 2:12)  Of course he knew that they had had gods, that they had had a religion, but their gods had proved questionable, and no hope emerged from their contradictory myths.  Notwithstanding their gods, they were 'without God' and consequently found themselves in a dark world, facing a dark future.  ......'How quickly we fall back from nothing to nothing':  so says an epitaph of that period.  ......we see in no uncertain terms the point Paul was making.....In the same vein he says ......'You must not grieve as others do who have no hope' (1 Thess 4:13)  Here too we see as a distinguishing mark of the Christians the fact that they have a future.....
Having hope always follows having faith.

There are those 'of little faith' who have gone into panic over Kung Flu.  Do they have faith?  Or have their 'gods proved questionable'?

Jack Del Rio for WI Governor!

Who cares if he lives here or not?  Run the recall and elect Jack Del Rio Gov.

Washington Redskins defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio is refusing to bow down to a liberal Twitter mob demanding he retract his support of President Donald Trump, responding to an accusation of racism by telling an online assailant to “kiss my a**.”...

One helluva good campaign slogan, no?

MKE to Save a Ton of Money

Why is the City of Milwaukee going to save a ton of money?

Organizers upended the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, as they told state delegations not to travel to Milwaukee, moved the convention from Fiserv Forum to the nearby Wisconsin Center and added satellite events around the country.

Delegates will cast votes remotely, even for the presidential nomination in what is shaping up to be an increasingly virtual event.   ...

Can you say "police overtime"?  No Democrat convention, no police overtime.

Oh, yah, well, also no 50,000 delegates occupying hotels, eating at restaurants, drinking at bars, touring the harbor, the Harley museum, the Art museum, the Zoo, ........

But mostly eating, drinking, and sleeping in hotels.

Think the Marcus folks have a bone to pick with Tom Perez & Co.?  No more free drinks for Barrett at the Pfister's bar.

Doh. Obama, the Seditionist

Yah, right, this is really a shock.

Newly released notes confirm President Barack Obama’s key role in surveillance and leak operation against Michael Flynn, the incoming Trump administration national security adviser. The handwritten notes, which were first disclosed in a federal court filing made by the Department of Justice on Tuesday, show President Obama himself personally directed former FBI Director James Comey and former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates to investigate Flynn for having routine phone calls with a Russian counterpart. He also suggests they withhold information from President Trump and his key national security figures.
Nah.  He and Hillary are exempt from prosecution, so don't get all lathered up.

They're Not "Ignorant." They're Insurrectionists

Now and then Jim Hoft's Gateway Pundit errs, and this one was a doozy.

The headline?  "Ignorant Leftists Tear Down Statue [...] of Civil War Abolitionist...."

No, Jim.  These animals are NOT "ignorant."  They are insurrectionists, and likely are Communists.

This has nothing to do with race, Floyd, or Brooks.  This has EVERYTHING to do with fomenting and furthering a revolution.

These are the people who should be shot on sight.

Connecting Anarchist Dots in Madison

Wiggy is a valuable source of intel.

...not every public figure opposed the destruction of the statues of the Capitol. Nada Elmikashfi, a Democratic candidate for state Senate in Madison, justified the destruction in a series of Twitter posts Tuesday night.

“Lady forward is the symbolic gatekeeper of an almost all white capitol that legislates in racism,” Elmikashfi posted. “Knocking it down made so many allies uncomfortable tonight, it showed the extent of white fragility. That is effective protest.”

“Fuck your statues,” Elmikashfi added in another Twitter post.

Elmikashfi is running to replace Sen. Fred Risser (D-Madison), the longest-serving member of the Wisconsin Legislature. Elmikashfi, running on the slogan of “a better Madison,” is currently a member of the Sustainable Madison Committee, appointed by Rhodes-Conway. She is a former member of Evers’ staff who served on the “Gubernatorial Appointments team” and a former legislative fellow for former Senate Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling (D-La Crosse)....

Shilling  moves even higher on the Subversive Wisconsinites list, joining Evers, the girly-man Governor and Madison's Mayor-ette/Dyke Rhodes-Conway.

That's only part of the Anarchist Cabal out there.  Plenty more on the faculty at UW and under rocks at various Lefty organizing groups such as One Wisconsin Now.

How to deal with them??

(D) Tim Carpenter Attacked by Mob in Madistan

Carpenter, a state senator from Milwaukee, was taking a pic of the mob which was rioting near the Capitol in Madistan; the mob attacked him and he collapsed at the scene.  He was hospitalized.

Something else that's interesting:

...Vos also questioned why Gov. Tony Evers hadn't intervened in the destruction of the statues, given it took place on state Capitol property. Protesters also broke windows of a state building near the Capitol which houses the state jobs agency, among other state offices.

Spokeswomen for Evers and Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway did not respond to questions late Tuesday about police force's slow response. ...

Vos should have asked Governor Maggie Gau.  Evers was sleeping and doesn't answer 3AM phone calls.  The Mayor-ette of Madison was reading Jenny Durkan's "Manual on Mayor-ing" (Copyright 2020) and also couldn't be disturbed.

Finally!! Trump Helps US Citizen IT Workers

It's taken him three years to get there, and it may only be temporary, but Trump has shut off H-1B visas.

Today, president Trump’s new Nonimmigrant Proclamation extended the duration of the bar on immigrant visas through December 31, 2020 (with potential extensions thereafter) and created a new bar for those seeking to enter the U.S. in the following nonimmigrant visa categories: H-1B (specialty occupation), H-2B (temporary workers), L (intracompany transferees), and J (exchange visitors).

The new Nonimmigrant Proclamation will go into effect at 12:01 A.M. eastern daylight time on June 24, 2020 and be in force through December 31, 2020, with the potential for extensions thereafter....

The Big Tech outfits:  IBM, Apple, H-P, Microsoft (et.al.) and the Big User outfits (Kohl's is one, so is West Bend Mutual, the State of Wisconsin, and GE Medical) were importing H-1B labor to write simple maintenance code or create simple systems--but they wrote their requests for imported cheap labor to make it seem that NO ONE ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH COULD DO THIS EXCEPT AN INDIAN.

And the damn fools in Government believed that crap, too.

Anyhow, it's over, for the time being.  Have an IT degree?  Maybe you'll be able to use it soon, right here in the USA.

Favre Admits Stupidity of Statement

It seems that Brett Favre figured out that he made a really, really, dumb statement when he compared Pat Tillman--who gave up his life for the country--and some money-grubbing dolt named Kaepernick.

Including Pat Tillman’s name in the interview on Colin Kaepernick was not a comparison of the two, but a recognition that they both sidelined their football dreams in pursuit of a cause. Pat tragically lost his life, making the ultimate sacrifice, and deserves the highest honor.
You're getting closer, Brett.  However, Kaepernick DOES have a career:  bitching and whining while on Nike's payroll.

(The Channel 12 story on this is absolutely dreadful.  This is "news" reporting today.)

NASCAR Idiots. Not a "Noose"

See, in Talladega (AL) every garage stall has a "noose."

All y'all know why, right?  Just like all y'all know Orange Man Bad.

And "systemic racism."

What a bunch of damn fools NASCAR officials really are.....

Luciferians Marching on WI Capitol Today

Just got word that Lucifer-worshippers (Luciferians) will be marching on the Wisconsin State Capitol today.  Hosted by Disciples of Lucifer and three other groups including the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.

Tomorrow morning a group of Catholics will be marching on the same route, praying the Rosary and sprinkling the ground with blessed salt and holy water.

Although we jest (I think) about the participation of DPW, this is a very serious situation.  A similar Luciferian event will be held in Portland, OR., with a similar response from Catholics out there.

Generally, Lucifer prefers to work behind the scenes.  The fact that this is a public demonstration is.........interesting.

"Contact Trace" a Big Fail in NYC

What did these Elite Morons really expect?

[T]he first statistics from the program, which began on June 1, indicate that tracers are often unable to locate infected people or gather information from them. Only 35 percent of the 5,347 city residents who tested positive or were presumed positive for Covid-19 in the program’s first two weeks gave information about close contacts to tracers, the city said in releasing the first statistics....

Perry N. Halkitis, dean of the School of Public Health at Rutgers University, which is guiding an effort to bring on thousands of tracers in New Jersey, called New York City’s 35 percent rate for eliciting contacts “very bad.” “For each person, you should be in touch with 75 percent of their contacts within a day,” he said....  NYT via Althouse
Apparently it's a telephone survey.

That's why the Big Players want to jam continuous tracing into your phone.  They won't be told to 'jam it up their butts.'  They do not LIKE disrespect for Their Authority.

Kick Roberts' Ass. Please!

Dan Horowitz 'splains that Trump could simply ignore Roberts' jackassery on the DACA question.

...The Constitution simply never gave the courts a veto power such as it gave to the president. An injunction is merely a form of relief granted in an individualized case or controversy. But if a judge is going to use that case to somehow illegally adjudicate a policy issue with no standing and issue a broad policy directive, even if he is correct on the merits, it has as much effect as a declaration from me or you or any private citizen absent the affirmative “aid” of the executive branch.

Implicit in Hamilton’s design is obviously the premise that the presidents and governors have the power not to grant aid to court rulings and, under the right circumstances, will use that power. Denying the judiciary the power of enforcement is not a bug in the system; it is a feature.

This is the core difference between judicial supremacy and judicial review. As President Lincoln observed during the sixth debate with Stephen Douglas during the 1858 race for Senate in Illinois, courts can adjudicate individual cases, but if they seek to use those rulings as a way of setting political policy across the nation, it should never be regarded as a “political rule” to be “binding on the members of Congress or the President to favor no measure that does not actually concur with the principles of that decision.”...

So.  What Trump could and should do?  Continue removing DACA children from the country.  Roberts can pound sand.

Codevilla on Dissing SCOTUS

Gorsuch et.al. are fools.

...The U.S. legal system exists to enable ordinary human beings to deal with reality in its own terms, including that all humans are equally human, and that humanity consists of males and females. Today, what amounts to a decree henceforth to call men women and women men lest we suffer legal consequences deserves disrespect just as much as Taney’s implication that blacks are not human. Both propositions are patently false as well as dysfunctional. Why should anybody respect them?

Today, President Trump has as much right as President Lincoln to order the executive branch to disregard the court’s opinion—in this instance, to continue to use the word “sex” as the dictionaries and biology define it. ...

This is what Lenny Leo and Heritage Foundation wanted.....so they'll get the respect they deserve, too.

IOW FOAD

Antifa = Anti-Catholic, Too

This does not come as a surprise.

Criminal leftists have now torn down a statue of Roman Catholic Spanish priest and friar St. Junípero Serra in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park.
The only surprise is how long it took them to get around to criminal damage to Catholic property.

For Review, Class

This is "SCIENCE" as defined by Dr. Fauci and "EXPERTS."  You must submit to their Authority or suffer.

Is Prejudice a Sin? Nope.

The question has been raised, so we took a look.

...According to the nature of the perfection which it limits, evil is metaphysical, physical, or moral. Metaphysical evil is not evil properly so called; it is but the negation of a greater good, or the limitation of finite beings by other finite beings. Physical evil deprives the subject affected by it of some natural good, and is adverse to the well-being of the subject, as pain and suffering. Moral evil is found only in intelligent beings; it deprives them of some moral good. Here we have to deal with moral evil only. This may be defined as a privation of conformity to right reason and to the law of God. Since the morality of a human act consists in its agreement or non-agreement with right reason and the eternal law, an act is good or evil in the moral order according as it involves this agreement or non-agreement. When the intelligent creature, knowing God and His law, deliberately refuses to obey, moral evil results....

(Found at "Nature of Sin" in the Catholic Encyclopedia)

The important word in the red-highlight area is "act."  Prejudice is not an "act"; it is more akin to a 'metaphysical evil' (above), it is a negation of a greater good.  Prejudice is not racism, which is the 'acting out' of prejudice; therefore racism is a sin, but prejudice is not.

Prejudice, however, is an evil, so we should resist it at all times.

Another Blowtorch-in-the-Purse Babe

Gee.  This is beginning to look like.........a pattern.

Now TWO white females are documented to be carrying blowtorches in their purses or backpacks.

Do they sell them in the notions department at Kohl's?  Target?  Right next to the black clothing?

How COULD this BE??

Rabblerouser Priests and "Keynote" Speakers

There really is no such thing as "coincidence" according to Jack Ryan (Red Star Rising, Hunt for Red October, etc.)

So when we survey the list of keynote speakers scheduled for the rabble-rousing AUSCP meet-up next week, we can see the parallels.

(AUSCP is notorious for its opposition to Church teachings and disciplines including agitation for ordained female deacons and for married priests.  They have hired a faux priest-ette, resulting in a warning letter from the local Ordinary; in general, they're the clerical descendants of Woodstock.)

The "keynote speakers" at the upcoming festivities?

Sr. Carol Zinn, SSJ, ex-Presidentess of the Leadership Council of Women Religious (the female counterpart to AUSCP);

John Carr, ex-director of the U.S. bishops’ domestic and international policy programs, retired from the USCCB policy office in 2012.  USCC's horrific Bernardin-Leftist orientation was the work-product of this fellow, and not even the General Secretary (now-Bishop) Malloy could unseat him.

Sr. Carol Keehan, notorious for her endorsement of ObamaCare and its funding of abortions-on-demand; Keehan is, thus, complicit on the persecution of the Little Sisters of the Poor.

Archbishop John C. Wester is the episcopal moderator of the AUSCP. He was ordained a priest in San Francisco in 1976 (need we say more?)  Apparently he forgot to put on his clerics for the pretty picture at the linked site.

Sr Simone Campbell, SSS, another abortion-on-demand/ObamaCare supportress.

The only surprise is that Bp. Seitz isn't on the list.  Maybe he'll earn a spot next year, eh?

Susan Rice and Trash Heaps

Ms. Rice, most likely a co-conspirator in the seditious activity of the Obama regime following Trump's well-earned victory, does not like Trump supporters in the Senate, suggesting that they belong 'in the trash heap of history.'

Apparently she thinks they'd want to be close to her.

Ms. Rice--along with Samantha Power-- set a world record for "unmasking" requests targeting Trump campaign staff and Trump nominees.  "Trash Heap of History" will be Ms. Rice's home address when the convictions begin to roll out.

Or maybe Leavenworth.....

ObamaCare Screws Immigrant

The local rag publishes a story about an immigrant who owes $21K++ because his health-care insurance plan did not include a hospital a few blocks away.

The local rag then proceeds to decry the local hospital (perhaps justified) and tell the story of the immigrant, who is from Burma/Myanmar and whose village was burned to the ground by somebody's army.

With us so far?

You have to read deep, deep, deep, into the story to find out that the insurance plan which screwed this dude is an OBAMACARE plan.

Remember ObamaCare?  The plan that would "reduce costs" for individuals and families?

Yah.  That one.  Ask Bal Htoo how that worked out for him.

Apologies Due from Two Twinks

One's a loud mouth with brains, the other's a loud mouth....

John Bolton begged for the job and enlisted Sean Hannity and Mark Levin to get advanced recommendations.
How'd that work out, Mr. President?

Lenny Leo's "picks" should have been fair warning.

Let's hope in the second term Trump takes ZERO advice of anyone 'in the know.'  What they "know" will finish destroying the Republic.

Rumor: July 4th "No Cop Day"

Independence day, indeed.

Rumor has it that July 4th, the US will become independent of police, who will suddenly, en masse, suffer from Sino Sinus Syphilis or some other malady.

Democrats and the MSM (BIRM) will have a field day with "COVID SPIKES!!!!" stories, and the armed insurrectionist division of the Democrat party will celebrate the independence-izing of thousands of 60" televisions, Iphones, and Nikes.

However, they will leave school supplies undisturbed.

As a precaution it may be prudent to limber up your 12-ga.

Dr. Fauci/Mr. Hyde

This guy has "Entitled Establishment Jackwad" written all over his face.

...Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical advisor to the Trump administration’s coronavirus task force, confirmed that public-health experts discouraged the public from wearing face masks towards the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak because they were concerned there would not be enough available for health-care workers....

That was BEFORE 'public-health experts' began mask REQUIREMENTS.

Got that?  Good.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, served up harsh criticism of Americans on Thursday...

...“One of the problems we face in the United States is that unfortunately, there is a combination of an anti-science bias that people are — for reasons that sometimes are, you know, inconceivable and not understandable — they just don’t believe science and they don’t believe authority,” Fauci told the Learning Curve podcast, which is produced by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)....

What EVER could cause citizens to 'disbelieve authority,' Dr. Fauci?

Maybe Sen. Johnson Was Napping?

Granted:  RoJo did not HAVE to publicly oppose the "Equality" Act; three Republican Senators prevented its 'unanimous consent' passage--and technically, it's still in committee, but even so.....

...Only three Republican senators — Utah’s Mike Lee, Missouri’s Josh Hawley, and Oklahoma’s Jim Lankford — rose to speak against the Equality Act. If not for them, the bill would have passed and would be on its way to the president’s desk....

What's the Big Deal?

...Mike Lee, in his remarks, pointed out that the Equality Act would demolish protection of women-only spaces like locker rooms and bathrooms, putting women who fear for their safety with biological males present there.

Josh Hawley pointed out that the Equality Act guts key provisions of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, amending it to not apply to SOGI. It would force faith-based adoption agencies out of business unless they conformed. It would force doctors and nurses to perform, or assist in performing, abortions — and give them no conscience right of refusal.

Jim Lankford said that this bill is not about finding a middle-ground compromise, but about one side imposing its views on the other. If you like women’s sports — high school, college, and professional — then you should know that if this bill passes, it would be a violation of federal civil rights law to prevent a biological male who identifies as female from competing in women’s leagues....[ed.:  this last is likely the case already given Bostock.]

Whatever.  We're all certain that Ron Johnson will vote against it should it emerge from committee, right?

After all, he wants to run for Governor and needs religious Conservatives, right?  (He could ask Hagedorn.)

Zmirak's Very Good Question

It's a "very good question" because it's the same one I had.

Did the Federalist Society Help Launch a Legal Persecution of Christians?
We all know, because the Federalist Society has been bragging about it endlessly, that they have vetted and pushed almost every Trump Fed-bench appointment.

And what Zmirak found out is that Gorsuch always was a Hack-in-Black on the Tranny question.

...I’ve come across some evidence that troubles me. Gorsuch’s views on LGBT issues weren’t some nuclear secret, locked in a vault. They were on clear display in a previous ruling he made back in 2008. That case, Kastl v. Maricopa County, concerned a man who claimed to be a woman, and demanded use of the ladies room. He was later fired.

While Kastl lost his case, the Ninth Circuit Court affirmed … exactly what the Supreme Court ruled this week. That Title VII of the Civil Rights Act applied to “transgender” issues, and protects such putative “women.” Gorsuch signed that ruling, without dissenting from that radical claim.

So Gorsuch was already on the record as agreeing with the wildest theory advanced by the Obama administration and the LGBT lobby about the secret meaning of the Civil Rights Act. Yet the Federalist Society approved him as a top candidate for Trump to appoint to the court.

That leaves me with some questions. Did the Federalist Society simply miss that case?...
Actually, no.

...a highly placed source in the Christian legal community told me that Leonard Leo, co-chairman of the Federalist Society, was fully aware of this ruling by Gorsuch. If that were true, it would mean that religious liberty is not really that important to the Federalist Society....
Ain't that wonderful?

Here's something even worse to contemplate:  How many OTHER Fed-bench appointments pushed by Lenny Leo are opposed to the First Amendment?

Ugh.

Democrats in Slave-Trader Uniform: It Fits.

Nobody ever accused the Democrats of being aware.

...Now it turns out that the particular pattern the Dems chose to flaunt was historically worn by rich African slave owners and traders! USA Today noted that in the days following the Democrats’ stunt, social media users pointed out the cloth’s historical ties to the slave trade. From the article:

Kente cloth was worn by the Ashanti. It’s made of silk so the affluent wore it. The Ashanti were also known as slave owners and traders. … The Ashanti’s long-time ally, the Akwamu, were among the first ones to profit from the slave trade with the Europeans. Their captives were almost always prisoners of war. …
Actually it's fitting, given the Democrat Party's slavery-loving history in the South and its current position as Owners of the Plantation.

Antifa In Action

This is a woman who ATL police believe torched the Wendy's during the demonstrations following the shooting of Rayshard Brooks.

The Atlanta Fire Dept. released this image of a second suspect wanted in the burning of Wendy's after the shooting death of Rayshard Brooks by a police officer.

She had a somewhat unusual piece of equipment in her bag.

...The Georgia Arson Control Board also offered a $10,000 reward leading to the two women’s arrest and conviction, mirroring the amount offered by Crime Stoppers.

The fire was started in several locations with a variety of incendiary devices, such as homemade blow torches, fireworks and combustible materials that were lit and lobbed inside, Atlanta Fire Section Chief James Oliver said in a news conference,...
I don't know what YOUR wife/daughters carry in their purses, but...........

Lewis Carroll vs. Gorsuch

This blogger thanks Sidney Powell for finding the quote which accurately describes the Gorsuch/majority opinion on trannies.  It also applies to the Roberts opinion on ObozoCare, Kennedy's opinion in Casey, and--notoriously--the Blackmun travesty in Roe.

...“nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would,”...
How long can this Republic stand when justice is so perverted?

Old White Mayor Gets Slapped in MKE

If you hadn't noticed, Tom Barrett--an old white Mayor--has never really been down with The Struggle.  Barrett hasn't really been down with anything much except his entitlement to an easy job because.........Democrat.

He's being slapped because of it.

The Milwaukee Common Council voted unanimously Tuesday to send a series of Mayor Tom Barrett's cabinet-level appointments back to committee for further consideration.

Ald. Milele Coggs, who made the motion to further consider the appointments, said her intention was not to hold up the process for an extensive length of time but rather for the council to reshape the city's efforts to serve Milwaukee residents.

"The unrest we see across the globe is sparked by the death of an African American man, George Floyd in Minneapolis, who died as a white officer had his knee on his neck — or the many deaths of black people at the hands of those charged with the responsibility to protect and serve," she said. ...

That's a crock.  Coggs has little use for Barrett and intends to use those hostages to obtain more Free Shit for "her constituents."  And when Barrett reduces the Police Department by 10% and shoves that $50MM into the Free Shit accounts, Barrett will be told to bend over and take it again.

Then he'll decide to retire instead, and that was the whole point.

Yes, the Riots Are Organized

Doesn't really make a difference if it's the usual anarcho-communists or "antifa":--or a violent offspring of Black Lives Matter.  These are definitely organized "mostly peaceful" riots.

The RenMan has the goods.  Here, a member of the Washington State National Guard recalls the events where he and his company were posted.

...She then abruptly said, “Why do you guys keep killing us?” I told her, “Excuse me?! I haven’t killed anyone…” ...At this point, I obviously knew she was referring to our Rules of Engagement (RoE) but it was obvious she was trying to provoke me. I tried to explain to her that what she was saying wasn’t true, but she kept interrupting me. Every time I’d try to speak, she’d raise her voice and interrupt me. As she continued to escalate, I recognized she was trying to provoke an exaggerated reaction out of me. I looked at her, shrugged, and proceeded to ignore her as I scanned the crowd....

...I should start gambling because it didn’t take long for the African-American Soldiers to get singled out. I’m not going to repeat the hate, racism, and discontent directed at my Soldiers....

...I remember a plastic water bottle being thrown across the line by the “protesters” on my right side towards a Police Officer. Soon after, a bottle landed on the left side, right behind our line. I yelled out “SHIELDS UP!” Without hesitation, our ENTIRE LINE of Guardsman moved forward, and placed ourselves between the rioters and the Police Officers.

The “protesters” began throwing rocks, glass bottles, and chunks of concrete. I was out there ALL day. There wasn’t any construction going on. There wasn’t a pile of concrete or bricks anywhere to be seen. All I saw were younger people with heavy backpacks. THEY WERE GRABBING CHUNKS OF CONCRETE FROM THEIR BACKPACKS TO THROW AT US. Why is that important? Why would you carry chunks of concrete to a protest? Because you PLAN on using/throwing the concrete… When the concrete began to rain down on us, it came from ALL directions. What does that mean? It was COORDINATED. THEY PLANNED TO ASSAULT US WITH CONCRETE...
Planning.  In other first-hand accounts, mention is made of the "scout" bicyclers who ride ahead of the main march group, providing direction to the marchers and mis-direction to the police.

Organized.

431 Cops Are Victims of Riots This Summer--So Far

Whether Antifa anarcho-Communist rioters or BLM rioters--or both--the "mostly peaceful" demonstrations have altered or ended the lives of 431 police officers across the country.

A big chunk of that number was in Chicago, where 132 coppers were injured.  But it's all over the country, from NYC and DC all the way to Davenport, IA.

A UW-M "professor" named Vysotsky stated that the violence is 'not sufficient' to meet his standards for .....something.

He's a sorry example of a human being and may actually be an idiot, too.

You don't have to love the police to understand that they ARE the line between peace and war in civil society, which is to say that if you want a civil society, you'd best support the police.

And buy more ammo.

SCOTUS vs. Second Amendment

When Clarence Thomas departs the Supreme Court, it will be a loss for America.

Justice Clarence Thomas suggested on Monday that the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) tolerates requirements on the exercise of the Second Amendment that it would not allow to be applied to abortion or free speech....

...“One would think that such an onerous burden on a fundamental right would warrant this Court’s review,” Thomas said. “This Court would almost certainly review the constitutionality of a law requiring citizens to establish a justifiable need before exercising their free speech rights.”

“And it seems highly unlikely that the Court would allow a State to enforce a law requiring a woman to provide a justifiable need before seeking an abortion,” Thomas said. “But today, faced with a petition challenging just such a restriction on citizens’ Second Amendment rights, the Court simply looks the other way.”...

It is surmised that the Court's flaccid approach to the fundamental right of self-defense is due to the presence of Roberts.  He's sort of a Coronavirus.

New Fusionism: Trump & Kushner

Not that long ago, there was Old Fusionism--a sort of truce-and-combine, with Traditional Conservatives (Burke-Kirk types) combining with Libertarians (today's Koch bunch) so that in combo, they could overcome the socialist-progressive types--at that time, actual Communists and certain Democrats.  The cake was baked by Frank Meyer and pushed hard by Bill Buckley--Meyer's employer at National Review.

Buckley thought it was a genius thing--but given the state of affairs at NR these days, maybe it wasn't.

Anyhow.

Today's Fusionism combines the law-and-order instincts of Donald Trump and the soft-on-crime but high-on-immigration babble-pablum of his son-in-law Jared Kushner.  Wonder why Seb Gorka bailed out of the White House?  Wonder no more.

This is a concern.

...Americans almost immediately became intimately acquainted with Rollins’ Koch-approved approach to crime. Behind the scenes, Rollins and Kushner continue to advise Trump to go soft on those engaged in violence across the country.

“The president has signaled that he would very much like to crack down on rioters,” [Tucker] Carlson said on June 1. “That is his instinct. If you’ve watched him you believe it. But every time he has been talked out of it by Jared Kushner and by aides that Kushner has hired and controlled.” Rollins is one of those aides for whom murder, mayhem, and madness constitute a small price to pay for the reforms that are in the interest of her backers....

Yes.  Despite her "Texas girl" act, Ms. Rollins--the subject of the essay linked just above--is a dyed-in-the-wool Lefty, except about the topic of money; on that topic, she's a Koch-ite.

Trump has an impending problem here.  Either he is going to shove the rioters back to their cages--or put them INTO cages--his 'law and order' rhetoric will be less and less credible.  Riots, looting, assaulting cops (and often, civilians) is NOT something Trump's voters will ignore for long.

But if Trump pushes hard, his daughter's hubby will be heartbroken or something.

We'll see very soon, won't we?

SCOTUS Continues Legislating Nutbaggery

Today, the Supreme Court legislated--again--just like when Roberts & Co. declared a new law regarding ObamaCare.

This time, they wrote a new law which Congress never wrote and the President (any President) never signed, declaring that Trannies are included in "sex-discrimination" legislation.  That's because Roberts (and mow Gorsuch) along with the Usual Miscreants, are just so much more Congressional than Congress.

Trump and The Turtle have a lot more work to do, assuming that The Turtle actually understands and cares about Right Order.

'Correct' Narrative on "Antifa" Not Quite Correct, but Trump-Hate Is There!

The local rag wants you to learn all about "Antifa," so they asked a professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to explain it all.

And that professor--surprise!!--made several misleading and/or downright dishonest comments.

He begins by shaping the definition to fit a Narrative.

...Vysotsky said antifa is shorthand for anti-fascist, and its meaning is broad.

Fascism is a political philosophy that crystallized between World War I and World War II, Vysotsky said, particularly in Germany with Adolf Hitler and Italy with Benito Mussolini. In its simplest forms, it is a belief in the fundamental inequality between people, in a biological and social sense. ...

Not entirely correct.  The Urban Dictionary uses Mussolini's own definition, which describes State Totalitarianism.  Since Mussolini was a Fascist, he should know.

1."Everything in the state". The Government is supreme and the country is all-encompasing, and all within it must conform to the ruling body, often a dictator.
2."Nothing outside the state". The country must grow and the implied goal of any fascist nation is to rule the world, and have every human submit to the government.
3."Nothing against the state". Any type of questioning the government is not to be tolerated. If you do not see things our way, you are wrong. If you do not agree with the government, you cannot be allowed to live and taint the minds of the rest of the good citizens.

No racism there, is there?  Now, then.  Hitler's Socialists (Nazis) were racist and also found time to send a lot of Catholics to the gas chambers, too.  So Merriam's definition includes racist, as does that of Cambridge.  But Wiki's does not include "racism" as part of Fascism.

Like I said, not entirely correct.

But being semi-correct doesn't stop the Professor from using the Narrative's preferred language about Trump:

..."Every single comment Donald Trump has made about anti-fascism" is misleading or fundamentally incorrect, Vysotsky said.

For example, Trump on May 31 tweeted: "The United States of America will be designating ANTIFA as a Terrorist Organization."...

Coming from a guy who is misleading, well, gee...  Trump named AN enemy--or a group of enemies--acting under the label "Antifa."  Rather than spending 20 minutes going through the subtleties, he used the term WHICH WAS and IS BEING USED as a self-descriptor by violent activists in Seattle and PortlandAre they actually anarcho-communists?  Yes.  Are Communists actually anti-fascist?  Technically, no; communism is also Totalitarian.  Interesting to note that the Professor describes the inter-war antifascist movement as 'anarcho-communist,' eh?

Trump could have used the term "anti-American," or brought up the concept of the National Interest--but as we mention below, that concept seems to be foreign to the Professor.

Let's move on.

..."While some anti-fascists engage in actions that are considered to be violent, the scale and scope of that violence does not meet the criteria of what constitutes terrorists' violence," he said. ...
They didn't burn down enough buildings in Minneapolis, eh, Professor?  How many blocks have to be burned down--and how many cops have to be assaulted--before that violence 'meets the criteria' which you think is sufficient?

Then he goes off the rails with his Trump-hatred.  When asked 'why Antifa is labeled a terrorist group'....

...Vysotsky said this actually has more to do with the ideological orientation of the people making the claim, than with those who identify as anti-fascist.

"They are seeking to discredit their political opponents, and they are unable to describe them on the merits of their beliefs and their claims, so they're trying to associate their political opponents with anti-social political activities,"  he said....

Huh?

Is this guy telling us that the Democrat Party--Trump's "political opponents" are actually Antifa?  Or that the Democrats ENDORSE Antifa?  Or maybe the Professor doesn't understand the term "National Interest", which would excuse his moronic clam that 'it's all politics.'

He continues down the path of Professorial Lunacy!!

..."You're placing anti-fascists who have not killed anyone in the United States, not kidnapped anyone in the United States, have not engaged in any actions of large scale intentional property destruction in the name of anti-fascism in the United States, on par with the organizations that have murdered people, kidnapped people, blown up entire buildings, held entire populations in fear."...

Yah, ya'know, none of the Antifa activists in the US carry business cards with the Antifa office address, phone, fax, email, and website, Professor--so you have NO F***ing idea who is, and who is not, "Antifa" here, do you?  Given that they are subversives, do you expect them to identify themselves as "Antifa" at trial?  Or acknowledge that their money came from Communist and other anti-American sources?

As to "large-scale" destruction---how about if they burn down the block you live on?  Would that be sufficient, or should they fire-bomb all of UW-M?  How about all of ZIP Code 53211?  Are we getting close to "large-scale," you twit?

There are some ideas so stupid that only intellectuals hold them, Professor.  Thanks for proving the rule.

All in Favor of Cutting Seattle Loose......

Here's a fellow who lists five excellent reasons to simply cut Seattle loose.

Other than Fort Lewis and Kitsap Base, ......uummnnnnhhhhhhhhh.....redeeming values.......ahhh.....

Catholic Throw-Down at Five (D) Candidates

...exhibiting an admirable spirit of charity, a group of Catholic leaders are addressing letters to five Democratic senators who face competitive races in November. The recently formed Catholic Coalition Against Religious Tests For Office is urging these senators to introduce a plank into the Democratic platform that would affirm their commitment to upholding the provisions of Article VI.

“The Democratic Party,” the letter notes, “now stands for abortion on demand paid for by taxpayers.” It also notes the continued harassment of Little Sisters of the Poor by many Democratic attorneys general. “You can imagine,” the letter admonishes the senators, “how this appears to the Catholic communities...

Why yes, one can imagine that rather easily.

...It goes without saying that in asking these five embattled senators to take a stand against religious bigotry, the Coalition is asking them to buck the party leadership, represented by Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) as well as by Feinstein, Harris, and Booker. But it would also materially increase their chances of victory in races that are sure to be hotly contested. The five senators are Gary Peters (Mich.), Jeanne Shaheen (N.H.), Tina Smith (Minn.), Mark Warner (Va.), and Doug Jones (Ala.). ...

Of course, this is a "friendly" reminder.

...Ed Martin, leader of the Coalition, notes that “the Democratic Party does not need to be struggling with the Catholic issue at the same time it is struggling with Defund the Police or a Green New Deal that their opposition will be saying is going to wipe out hundreds of thousands if not millions of jobs.” ...

It is interesting that Martin & Co. did NOT bring up the abortion issue; they chose to allow the candidates to hang themselves on anti-Catholicism instead.

Vicious anti-Catholic lesbian dolt Tammy Baldwin should pay attention.

Pandemic? Fading, Fast

The more we know, the less the WuFlu is.

...Importantly, we detected SARS-CoV-2-reactive CD4+ T cells in ∼40%–60% of unexposed individuals, suggesting cross-reactive T cell recognition between circulating “common cold” coronaviruses and SARS-CoV-2....

Yup.  Somewhere between 40%-60% of people NOT exposed to WuFlu already have antibodies, probably obtained from having the common cold or another flu.

Meantime, Fauci--looking for a bit of attention what with the riots and all that--is still barking about "MO' COVID".

OK, Tony.  Tell us about AIDS killing half the planet again, or whatever.

Why MKE Spends on Cops

You'll be delighted to know that the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has an answer to the question " How come Milwaukee spends so much on cops?"

...In the report, the growth of policing in large cities is traced to the war on crime in the 1960s and the overwhelming decision to address concentrated poverty and segregation with social control rather than welfare programs....
So if Milwaukee gave away More Free Shit, the City could reduce its Cop-Shop budget by untold mega-millions of dollars.

Simple!

You might wonder, dear reader, who WROTE that report.  Wonder no more!

...Charles H. Ramsey, the former police chief in Philadelphia and Washington and a co-chair of President Obama’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing,...
The MPD has a very generous compensation and benefits schedule.  I'd start there, but then I don't have to get police union votes to survive the next election (hint, hint.)

Trump's Agenda for the Cities

Some might call this Trump's "black voter agenda."  That works, too.

...Trump affirmed that his administration would support the growth of businesses in black communities. “At the heart of this effort is increasing access to capital for small businesses, and that’s with minority owners in black communities.  And we’re going to get it done, and it should have been done a long time ago.  It’s been very difficult — very, very difficult for some people.  It’s been unfairly difficult,” he insisted. ...

...“Second, we are confronting the healthcare disparities, including addressing chronic conditions and investing substantial sums in minority-serving medical institutions.  We have medical institutions in some areas of our country that are a disgrace.  I was going to say ‘not up to standard.’  They’re much worse than ‘not up to standard.’  They’re a disgrace.  We’ll take care of it.”...

...“Third, we’re working to finalize an executive order that will encourage police departments nationwide to meet the most current professional standards for the use of force, including tactics for de-escalation.”...
And then he drops the Big One.

...“And, fourth, we’re renewing our call on Congress to finally enact school choice now.  School choice is a big deal because access to education is the civil rights issue of our time.  And I’ve heard that for the last, I would say, year.  But it really is; it’s the civil rights issue of our time.  When you can have children go to a school where their parents want them to go.”...
There is not a chance in Hell that school choice will get through the House unless Republicans take control--and even then, the RINO contingent will make it near-impossible in both Houses of Congress.

And of course, smarmy twits such as Tricky Tony (and the Governor, Maggie Gau) will do all they can to derail the other elements of the plan, and probably be joined by RINOs in the Legislature.

But this is a big, broad, populist program.  You'll hear a lot more about it.

Fauci the Domestic Terrorist

Anthony Fauci's history is clear:  he's a terrorist.

...He has spent his professional career warning of nightmare scenarios, many which never materialized.

Nobody did more to kick off the U.S. AIDS alarm than Fauci, who was sole author of a 1983 piece in the prestigious JAMA in which he declared the disease might be transmissible by “routine close contact, as within a family household.”...

Remember that?  How about his pronouncement on heterosexual AIDS transmission?

...In 1987, columnist George Will asserted on TV that the heterosexual AIDS threat was overstated. “That’s not correct,” Fauci protested, followed by a prediction that the percentage of AIDS cases contracted via heterosexual transmission (then at 4%) would rise to 10% by 1991. That rate never rose above 4%. ...
In need of more attention after his AIDS flop, Fauci opined on a new disease!

...he declared 16 years ago that we’re “due” for “massive person-to-person” spread of Avian flu H5N1. How massive? While Fauci didn’t define “massive,” according to one estimate by a CDC modeler “even in the best-case scenarios” it would “cause 2 to 7 million deaths” worldwide....
Well, 2 to 7 million is.........a bit high.  The actual number:  440.  Worldwide.  All-in.

Of course, getting attention usually brings MO'MONEY!!  And sure enough....

...More recently, Fauci sounded the threat of the Zika virus, demanding billions more in taxpayer funds. It barely touched two U.S. states before burning out on its own. ...
And now we have Another Deadly Nightmare Killer Pandemic Massacre-Bug!!

...Fauci said the virus met all four criteria for a nightmare scenario: It is new, respiratory-borne, easily transmissible, and has a significant degree of illness or mortality.

Fauci also said the virus surprised him with “how rapidly it just took over the planet.” However, it appears to spread with the same speed as seasonal flu, which covers the world map annually. And, of course, seasonal flu is also respiratory and has significant mortality....

*Yawn*

Fauci is very good at his game; after all, he persuaded Trump that the best available remedy was to demolish the US economy and several hundred thousand small businesses, too.  I doubt that Trump will ever fall for that again.

What else did Fauci the Terrorist accomplish?

He demolished the credibility of his office, and for fun, also shredded the cred of CDC.

Fauci.  Rhymes with Comey, sort of.  At least Comey wasn't a terrorist.

A Letter to Your Bishop

Well, now.  You're all aware of the nuclear missives (clever, no?) recently loosed by Abp. Vigano.  So what's a concerned and confused Catholic to do?

Ask the Arch/Bishop, of course!!!  Here's a sample letter.  See if you get a response.

Dear Arch/Bishop XYZ

In the last several days Abp. Vigano has issued two statements:  the letter sent to the President, and another letter which puts into very serious question the 'ecumenical' position of the Second Vatican Council.  Further, that the "hermeneutic of continuity" simply breaks down when attempting to reconcile prior Church dogma with the Council's statement.  Along the way, +Vigano also expresses serious reservations about the Ordinary Form of the Mass.

Both of these letters are important, to say the least.

The statement concerning ecumenism and the Mass is probably of more immediate interest to Catholics.  Will the Arch/Diocese  be sponsoring a discussion of this document in the near future so that Catholics know with certainty the dogmatic teaching of the Church on these matters?
Will that be followed--before the election--with a discussion of his letter to President Trump?  Catholics expect an exposition of the Catholic position on the matters raised by +Vigano, of course, and I'm certain that any discussion will conform precisely to Catholic teaching, right?
We look forward to your timely response!!

Sincerely,

A Concerned Catholic
If you actually DO get a response other than "Please drop dead or shut up!", we'd like to hear about it.

Bolton: Trump Refused to Nuke Every Other Country

Bolton makes a shocking claim.

...What Bolton saw astonished him: a president for whom getting reelected was the only thing that mattered, even if it meant endangering or weakening the nation. “I am hard-pressed to identify any significant Trump decision during my tenure that wasn’t driven by reelection calculations,” he writes....

"Endangering or weakening" is Bolton-speak for "Not waging nuclear war everywhere, immediately."  However, it could also be "Not doing exactly what I, John Bolton, order you--a mere Commander-in-Chief--to do, immediately, and with nukes."

Yes, Bolton has some personality problems.

As to the horrible charge that a politician wants to get re-elected, we respond:  "REALLY??"

Wis. Teachers Partner With Black Lives Matter

We are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooo happy to have our children out of the publick screwels.  (Formatting here is spotty, sorry.)

Black Lives Matter at School (BLMS), an organization that seeks a “new uprising for racial justice,” vows to inject BLM “guiding principles” into classrooms by teaching terms like “transgender affirming” and how to “disrupt of Western nuclear family dynamics” to “young children.”

Endorsed by the National Education Association, the largest teacher union in the U.S., BLMS organizes an annual week of extolled by the Washington Post as teaching “young people through lessons, discussions, art and social action about structural racism, black identity and history, and restorative justice and related issues.” ‘Thousands of people throughout the country took part last year,” the establishment outlet noted.

To facilitate these goals, organizers “assembled materials for teachers” such as curriculum guides. The Wisconsin Education Association Council, for example, has shared the document.

And sure enough, if you go to the link, you'll find the document.  Some highlights:

We know that if you knock down someone's block building, you have to help them rebuild it, you can't just say, "Sorry," and walk away. Another way to say that is restorative justice...

...“Everybody has the right to choose their own gender by listening to their own heart and mind. Everyone gets to choose if they are a girl or a boy or both or neither or something else, and no one else gets to choose for them.”...

..."Everybody has the right to choose who they love and the kind of family they want by listening to their own heart and mind....

...“There are lots of different kinds of families; what makes a family is that it’s people who take care of each other; those people might be related, or maybe they choose to be family together and to take care of each other. Sometimes, when it’s lots of families together, it can be called a village....

Can't wait to see that implemented in Nicolet, Shorewood, Whitefish Bay, and KM, can ya??

Covid Fright-Fraud, Schools, and Two-Income Families

We mentioned earlier that the Sun Prairie school district is not likely to have the Little Darlings in school full-time this coming year due to the Fright-Fraud over the Chinese Communist Party Virus.

Wauwatosa is having similar thoughts, but was foolish enough to send out a survey.

...In Wauwatosa, for example, a survey is asking what options may work best in an effort to reduce class sizes. They include alternating days or weeks or bringing elementary students back to the classroom while keeping middle and high school students learning remotely at home....
It's useless to recap the clear and compelling Wisconsin statistics about the decline of WuFlu, as the Radical Woke/Left schools (and teachers) have no interest in facts.  The current Hair-On-Fire is "Second Wave" for a reason, friends.

For all you two-income parents:  best think about serious household budget reductions.

Cause & Effect in Milwaukee Crime

Seems that Milwaukee's Ruling Class doesn't care for "transparency" in certain cases.

The Milwaukee Police Department issued a tweet:

"...the Mayor and Common Council reduced our budget by 60 police officers this year. The homicide rate has more than doubled & non-fatal shootings have increased by over 35% since 2019
Well......facts are facts, right?  The public should know, right?  Secrets in Government are bad, right?

Oh, HELL, no!!

...The tweet did not sit well with Cavalier Johnson, president of the Milwaukee Common Council,...Johnson is calling for the tweet to be deleted.

"It certainly shouldn't take place in the public square like that," said Johnson....

We don't live in the City; the property tax burden there is insane and will be getting a lot worse over the next several years.

And there's that little matter of crime.

Theology at Marquette High School

Interesting little side-note from the ongoing (and shrinking) demonstrations in Milwaukee.

Cynthia Blaze remembers when her parents brought her to the civil rights marches of 1968. She wants her grandchildren to remember this historic time too....

...Blaze, a theology teacher at Marquette University High School, worries for the safety of both her grandchildren and her students....
A "theo" teacher at Marquette University High School.  Since that's a school "in the Jesuit tradition" I thought I'd look up Ms. Blaze's background and qualifications.

Hmmm.

The official MUHS page is here.

Redemption and all that, eh?
