Live in Pewaukee? Be Afraid. VERY Afraid! /Sarc

Apparently there are PFAS in a couple of the wells Pewaukee uses.

...The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says PFAS can cause thyroid or heart issues, cancer or even developmental delays....

Note that the statement is conditional.  It "can" (read "could") cause certain problems.  That's a far cry from "will" cause, or even "is likely to" cause.

But then it wouldn't scare the daylights out of people (like Covid, or Global Warming, e.g.) and the money-laundering (to Democrat donors) wouldn't happen.

"There’s a lot more studying that needs to be done on this chemical in order to determine the true health risks associated with it and how much that risk is," said Wagner [Pewaukee's Director of Public Works.]

For floating a common-sense idea like that, Ms. Wagner will be pilloried and run out of town on a rail.

The most important comments on the matter are buried, of course.

... Jensen [a DNR employee] said only Saukville, West Bend, Mukwonago and the village and city of Pewaukee exceeded Wisconsin Department of Health Services recommended groundwater standards for PFAS in southeastern Wisconsin.

Your water could be next because of shifting guidelines.

"EPA, the federal side of things, is looking at even tighter regulations on these chemicals," said Jensen....

Not to worry.  EPA will tighten down the 'allowable' percentage for as long as it takes to keep up the YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!! narrative.  It's what they do.  Similar doomsday crapola cost Waukesha around $200 million--just for starters.

Waukesha's well-water was drawn from near big rocks, a potent source of radium.  By no means was this dangerous, let alone "deadly."  But ..........Waukesha paid.  Meantime, anyone who knows the word "hormesis" is shaking their head.
