Education? Not in Wisconsin

These results are terrible.

The percentage of students who scored “proficient” or better dropped in every subject area statewide, according to an analysis by the USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin:

  • English: 39% of test-takers were proficient or better, a 6% drop from 2019.
  • Math: 39% of test-takers were proficient or better, a 12% drop from 2019.
  • Social studies: 49% of test-takers were proficient or better, a 3% drop from 2019.
  • Science: 52% of test-takers were proficient or better, a 4% drop from 2019.

"Proficient" is "at grade-level."  Don't let the term confuse you (which is the intent.)  And reading those scores the right way tells us that SIXTY-ONE percent were less-than-grade level in English and Math; FIFTY-ONE percent were less-than-grade level in Social Studies, and FORTY-EIGHT percent were less-than-grade level in Science.

Your local School Board will tell you that it's due to terrorist mama bears, of course.

You'll be *SHOCKED* to learn that there'a a lot of RRRAAAAAAAAACISM!!! in those tests and results, too.

Yup.  That's the ticket!!
