Why is the USA's case-fatality ratio as high as it is?

NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY, ILLINOIS, MICHIGAN, MASSACHUSETTS, and PENNSYLVANIA--Democrat-run States which forced infected oldsters into nursing homes, thereby killing off plenty of people.  Andrew Cuomo alone is responsible for more than 6,000 nursing-home deaths.  Is that what Fauci meant when he said "New York has done it correctly."??  Killing off the excess old folks, Tony?  That's what Cuomo did 'correctly'??
