When running for President, one must adopt the Party Line.
Wisconsin Republican Gov. Scott Walker told a local newspaper Tuesday he
not only supports the Senate immigration bill but that it should go
further, calling the legislation merely a “Band-Aid.”
He elaborated on the Ryan gambit:
...Walker added that there needed to be “a larger way” to reform the system
to make immigrating easier. “Because if it wasn’t so cumbersome, if
there wasn’t such a long wait, if it wasn’t so difficult to get in, we
wouldn’t have the other problems that we have.”...
Umnnhhh....Gov'nor: the "problems we have" are called "illegals." And since the Senate bill famously does nothing, nada, zip, zero about securing the border, the "problems we have" will continue for a long, long, time, such as the problem with IRS' generosity to illegals.
It's not a surprise that Walker favors cheap labor, given his list of backers. What IS a surprise is his casual disregard for border control (and by extension, national security.)
