The Hong-Sign

Two (not-really-separate) items in this post.

1)  Childers explains the Hong-Sign (pic below):  the red (of course) rose is the official symbol of the Democratic Socialists of America, and of ‘democratic socialism’ worldwide. It traces back to the European labor and socialist movements of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, where a rose representing the beauty of the socialist ideal was paired with a clenched fist representing labor solidarity. The DSA adopted the logo as its primary visual identity, and its candidates often wear a red rose pin on their lapel as a commie dog-whistle.

2)  A fanatic-Lefty Old White Woman lives down the road from here.  In election years, she stakes 10X15 yard-signs for the Democrat of the Season.

This year, her signs include one for Crowley--not for Hong.  That's OK; it's a primary.

The payoff question:  what will she do when Hong wins?

Heh.

We'll let you know soon!
