H-1B Criminal Activity? Not Surprising.

For a decade or more, Americans have been screwed over by "American" companies hiring foreign nationals to do American work under the H-1B provision of immigration law.  The reason?  Those foreign nationals would work for 25-30% less than Americans.

Sure, the "American" companies said that there were no American citizens "qualified" for the jobs.  In the vast, vast, majority of the cases, that was a flat-out lie; in fact, the "qualification" thing was a ruse; the "American" companies--and then the foreign-owned outfits like Tata (India) and DASD (France) simply made up "tests" which only the foreigners could pass.  But those "tests" had nothing to do with the required skill-sets.

Some of those H-1B's actually did have skills or the ability to "fake it until you make it" and seemed ambitious; they became supervisors or managers--and then hired nothing but MORE H-1B's from 'back home.'  It's not unusual to walk through an IT office were the smell of curry clings to everything:  carpets, ceiling tile, terminals--you name it.  By the way, they were not only hiring "back-home" folks; they were deliberately excluding native Americans.

Oh----wait......

Criminal networks are selling Americans’ white-collar jobs via the huge and complex H-1B visa program, says Anthony D’Esposito, the Inspector General at the Department of Labor.

“This is not just fraud: This is a criminal enterprise that stretches far beyond the borders of America,” D’Esposito told Breitbart News during an interview in his D.C. office....

Oh.  

Here's Esposito:

 ...Without revealing too much of an investigation, I think that when complete, one of the things that will probably make the American people most angry… and will probably lead to the biggest change from lawmakers — they will probably bring oversight to this — [is] the fact that many of the individuals that you’re talking about that are selling these jobs, getting kickbacks. We will clearly outline and define their relationships with — whether it’s gangs [or] whether it is transnational criminal organizations....

In Wisconsin, GE Medical, Kohl's, Milwaukee Electric Tool, and Deluxe Data, among MANY others including the State of Wisconsin, are prominent in the H-1B labor-force markets.  Nationally, Alphabet (Google) and Microsoft hire thousands of H-1B's, and Tata hires nothing BUT H-1B's to contract out to companies like the above and hundreds of other "American" companies looking for cheap labor.

We are familiar with this phenomenon and are not shocked by allegations of criminal activity and fraud.  It makes sense:  the foreign managers hiring only other foreigners would point to that all by itself.  And there's a lot of money sloshing around in this business, so hiring managers could easily be tempted to take a quick $10-, $20-, $100K/year kickback.

This has led to about 25% under- or un-employment for Americans in IT alone.  Lots of UW-Whitewater grads are NOT doing what they went to college for (spending/borrowing $40K or so to get that degree.) 

Breitbart has followed this closely over the years.  They issue a challenge to the local TeeVee "reporters" and assignment editors at the end of their piece:

 ...So far, the establishment media has done almost nothing to investigate or expose the organized replacement of their white-collar peers in America’s professional class...

Too bad.  There's a lot here.
