Flock Fights Crime? Nope.

Too bad that the Usual B.S. is exactly that:  B.S.  But is there a real reason for Flock cams?

How bad IS it??

 ...According to the ACPC, the rates at which the APD resolves crimes like homicide, robbery, miscellaneous larceny, and shoplifting have actually decreased between 2021 and 2025, when the city’s ALPR build-out hit its full stride.

For homicide, the numbers are especially embarrassing, with the FBI reporting case closures at just 48 percent in 2025, down from 53.4 percent in 2021. Meanwhile, rape remained flat year over year, holding steady at a pitiful 37.7 percent closure rate from 2021 to 2025, and dipping down to just 21.2 percent at its lowest point in that four-year span....

It's possible that the ATL cop-shop is less competent every year, or sumpin'sumpin'.

It's also possible that it's mere co-incidence that the Flock Spying System is being assembled nationally just as A.I. data-centers are being constructed to house and utilize all that Spy-Cam footage.

But that's silly paranoid conspiracy talk, right?  We know that the Feds NEVER LIE to the citizens about anything.

NBC's Artful Lies

 There IS such a thing as Lying by Omission.

NBC demonstrates this for you.  They did not exactly "omit" the rest of the story; instead, they put it where few--if any--would read it:  several grafs down.

 A nursing mother and Guatemalan asylum-seeker who was preparing to take her two young children to the doctor was arrested by ICE in Tennessee and is now being detained nearly 700 miles away from her family, according to advocacy groups that filed a civil rights complaint on her behalf.

The woman, who is referred to by the pseudonym Maria Pérez, fled “extreme domestic violence” in Guatemala and was seeking asylum in the U.S. when she was arrested in Nashville in May...

All of that is true.  But what ELSE is true?  Plenty!

... buried several paragraphs down, the writer lets us know that U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) was there to arrest Pérez's baby daddy, who had a federal criminal warrant against him. As the baby mama, Pérez was discovered to also be in the country illegally, so as Border Czar Tom Homan has consistently asserted, because she wasn't in the country legally, she was swept up and detained....

Is that all?  HELL, no!!

 ...Also buried at the bottom of the article is the fact that Pérez was detained at the Southern border in 2022, then released into the U.S., never to be seen again. The reporter clearly didn't want to discuss who was president during that time period, or the fact that instead of trying to get her life in order, Perez made false claims of U.S. citizenship, then shacked up with an alleged criminal and had what appears to be two babies in the space of four years, compounding her legal troubles....

Biden's "best and brightest"?

Certainly not "best," nor "brightest."

RedState mentions the sudden co-ordinated appearance of lots of "immigrant rights" groups and (tax-paid) "human rights" lawyers, a plague far worse than the one God smacked the Egyptians with.  Worth noting, as these creatures slither out from under the rocks in SE Wisconsin, too.

Message for Fr. Fliss

Ed Feser--who is no Traddy--has a message for Fr. Fliss.

Let's begin with Fliss' comments on the Old Rite Mass:

 Uh-huh.  OK.  Now let's hear what Feser--a Los Angeles professor of philosophy--has to say.

... What @ArchCordileone says about the traditional Mass is true also of traditional Catholic philosophy and theology, from the Church Fathers through Aquinas and the other Scholastics down to the great writers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries (Taparalli, Scheeben, Garrigou-Lagrange et al.). Young people are deeply attracted to the intellectual muscle and spiritual depth of this tradition, which, when they are introduced to it, they often judge to be like lost treasure that has been rediscovered. The revival of this tradition too is unstoppable, because the modern alternatives are simply pathetically shallow and intellectually flimsy in comparison....

It's a good bet that Feser had seen the comments from Fliss before he posted his item on X.  The message was not disguised at all:  "shallow and intellectually flimsy"..........That's not only about the New Rite.

By the way, Fliss' claim that "...all [SSPX's] sacramental celebrations are now invalid" is grossly uninformed, although he's merely repeating the poppycock of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.  No less than Cdl. Mueller (ex-Doctrine chief) flatly stated that sacramental authority is from Christ, not from some department of the Church.  Several other canon-law experts have said the same thing.

Fr. Fliss is a "nepo priest."  His uncle is a Bishop.  Perhaps the seminary gave Fr Fliss a "courtesy passing" grade.  It certainly seems that way, ain'a? 

Minnesota's SCADA Problem and Eason Is an Idiot

 SCADA is a computer system used in all sorts of places.

 Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system is a computer application used to monitor and control a plant or equipment at the supervisory level.....SCADA systems are used in many different industries to collect and analyze real-time data, as well as to control functions, which makes them a target to malicious hackers....

Water systems use SCADA software.

When connected to the internet (as many are), it is vulnerable to cyber-attacks UNLESS the system is protected with other software.

Minnesota water systems were apparently attacked by black hats; the FBI seems to think they were Iranian in origin.  Ironically, the most famous attack on a SCADA installation (Stuxnet) was Israeli-based; they attacked some Iranian systems.  These attacks go back to 2010; they are not "new threats" in any sense of the term.  One of the victims (to the tune of $70 million in damages) was Minnesota-based Target.  Huh.

Anyhow.

Trump remarked that the Minnesota attacks were the fault of incompetent Minnesota government(s); he did NOT include the FBI's suspicion that the attacks were Iranian-originated in his offhand remarks.  Trump did not "rule out" Iranian involvement:  he merely pinned the tail on the Minnesota donkeys.

Trump is probably correct.  As you can see from the list of victims included at the link above, there are plenty of organizations which have not hardened their SCADA systems against an attack.  Should Trump have first acknowledged the FBI's suspicions?  We would have.  But should he have exonerated the State of Walz' public utilities operators for remarkably lax IT security?  Hell, no.

Note well:  in this story, it becomes very clear that "cyber security" is the issue at the center of the problem.  Odd:  it appears that Blake Eason never watched this story.  (See below.)  

The FBI is correct.  So is Trump.

Minnesota?  Well, look who runs that hot mess......

Meantime, Channel 12's Blake Eason made a fool of himself by stating that Trump blamed Minnesota's utilities "without evidence."  Trump undoubtedly knew all about the FBI's findings; he is the President. 

We're willing to bet (without evidence) that Blake Eason never heard of "SCADA" and has no friggin' idea what it is.  We're also willing to bet that Eason did ZERO research on the matter before making his uninformed comment.  

(It would be fun to review old Eason tapes while he--without evidence--warned his Nashville audience about the DOOM DOOM DOOM DOOM of Covid, simultaneously--without evidence--yapping about the efficacy and absolute necessity of "masks," "social distancing," and "vaccinations" and reading the cue-cards telling him that Covid came from a bat-cave.  Because cue-cards are "evidence," ya'know.)
