Businesses are under a lot of pressure.
Manufacturers reported that the costs of health insurance for employees shot up by 14.2% on average; service firms reported an average increase of 12.9%, according to a report by the New York Fed based on a survey of companies in the New York-Northern New Jersey region....
If you think that those numbers are confined only to NY/NJ, you should get off the devil's lettuce.
By the way: utility costs were up 8++%, and business-insurance costs were up 7.5%. Those utility costs have everything to do with windmills and sun-catchers. (Wisconsin Electric wants you to think that their tree-removal/line-burial costs are driving your bills up. They are......ahhh........evading the truth through misleading statements.)
Not good.
