TDS vs. Americans

...The Monroe doctrine was about keeping the Great Powers of the day out, not about allowing the US to act like a Great Power at the expense of its neighbors....

But the Monroe Doctrine has nothing--zero--nada--zip to do with Trump's anti-narcoterrorist activities.  The author is smart enough to know that, but drags a Large Red Herring out, hoping no one will notice.

He then finds a couple of folks who have combat experience (Thanks for Your Service) but have little concern for the reality of Maduro's variegated and multi-vectored attacks on the US.

There are other thinkers--and combat vets--who are not clinically TDS.

... The War Powers Resolution is a joke. It is facially unconstitutional from its premise that Congress is the super-duper commander-in-chief of the armed forces when it claims "The constitutional powers of the President as Commander-in-Chief to introduce United States Armed Forces into hostilities, or into situations where imminent involvement in hostilities is clearly indicated by the circumstances, are exercised only pursuant to (1) a declaration of war, (2) specific statutory authorization, or (3) a national emergency created by attack upon the United States, its territories or possessions, or its armed forces." That has not been true since President George Washington sent the U.S. Army and Lieutenant Colonel Josiah Harmer to run the Indians out of the Northwest Territories....

Is Trump getting ready to 'regime-change' Maduro into an early grave?
