This recent interview with a neighbor of the shooter, which is newsworthy in and of itself because it confirms the shooter did have a trans-identifying boyfriend, is the perfect example of that. ...

 If you watch the clip, you can hear the reporter is aghast, as she suggests the man's supposition is unsupported. It's pretty wild that he then has to explain to the press scrum that normal guys don't hold hands and kiss. We have a press corps that will do quantum physics to target a Republican, but then pretends not to know what two plus two equals when it's convenient. ...
