The "IT Contractor" Theft Game

We note an article in RedState.

...On May 31, The Wall Street Journal reported that “the government’s monthslong quest to wring savings from federal contractors is widening beyond consulting firms and entering a new phase focused on tech companies.” Agencies are now asking contractors to justify their costs and identify areas to cut — and that’s great news for taxpayers.

President Trump is right to be leading the charge. This stems directly from the executive order he signed in March, directing federal agencies to consolidate procurement — especially IT contracts — under the General Services Administration (GSA), the agency responsible for government contracting....

Ah, yes.  "IT Contracting."

A few decades back, the (now-history) Arthur Anderson accounting firm created an IT consulting group.  They hired kids fresh out of college, gave them some COBOL training, and obtained "consulting" assignments for them.

They charged $75-$100/hour for those kids, who likely couldn't tell a Cullinet DB from flat files.

That was in the late '70's.  Much later, Arthur Anderson was forced to disband due to a criminal conviction--a bogus one, by the way.  That conviction should have been over its "IT consulting" racket.

Looks like things have not changed at all.
