The American-Israeli PAC has made donations. These "Public" servants have threatened the members of the International Criminal Court (along with their families) should said court issue criminal charges against Netanyahu.
You may think that ICC is slightly daft. But threatening families?
I’ve seen internet posts saying Joe Biden is single largest lifetime recipient of AIPAC generosity at $11,194,792. I believe the source is a website called trackaipac but I have not been able to confirm that dollar amount. Given the flyaway cost for the F-15EX Eagle II is approximately $90 million for each aircraft, Biden by himself couldn’t even purchase a left wing for that pittance but his signature on government contracts could.
ReplyDeleteThey're Senators. What was the threat? Make them attend a hearing?

Cotton told ICC prosecutor that if he issues arrest warrant for Netanyahu, that ICC prosecutor "will be our target." Further, told him that he and his family will be barred entry to the US.

Dad,
I'm trying to figure out how the Senators could enforce that threat. They're not Immigration and Customs officials, and they can't pass bills of attainder. I figure they're thinking of something like a law that says, "Anyone associated with the International Criminal Court or any of its employees, whether professionally or by family ties, is hereby barred from entry into the United States."
Probably you couldn't get that law through a divided Congress, and Biden would veto it; but as laws go, it's not a terrible idea.
Good Read. Greg
