A long time ago, the Chairman of the local party asked me for $10.00 to join it. He was a nice guy, so I gave him the $10-spot. Left after 1 year because--really--the Party didn't do much.
Re-joined a couple of years ago, again because a nice woman asked. Yah: stupid is as stupid does.
