The Davos Racket

 Yes, it's a racket.

The immense size of the “need” [$150 TRILLION!!!] matters little to the Davos crony crowd, which will meet for the 54th time next week. The gathering of the rich and powerful will spend its week schmoozing, trading favors and backslapping to become richer and more powerful. And of course talking about how much the world needs them and their special skills to solve the climate crisis they have fabricated, and how much of other people’s money they need to get the job done.

But let’s say the climate cabal gets the $150 trillion (after all, it’s only about $5 trillion a year) from taxpayers. What can we expect in return?

Economic struggles. Energy shortages. And zero impact on the climate....

Rolling blackouts, now predicted with near-certainty for the Northeast power grid (and with less certainty for the Midwest and Mid-South) will create 'economic struggles,' not to mention a serious human cost in health and lives.

But those costs are easy to bear if you're John Kerry or Fat Albert Gore.  Not so easy for single moms with children, or old folks who can't easily take 5 days of freezing or cooking. 

On the other hand, the Davos crowd tells us that the world is over-populated.  In other words, the catastrophes are features, not bugs.
