MKE Welcome Committee Shoots Party Bus

Under Cavalier Johnson, Milwaukee is stepping up its game.  Now the welcome includes gunfire!

A party bus filled with passengers from the Green Bay area was struck by gunfire in Milwaukee Saturday night while departing a Morgan Wallen concert at American Family Field.

The Milwaukee Police Department said the incident happened shortly before midnight near North 35th Street and West Wisconsin Avenue....

...[The bus driver/owner] Landvick said he was traveling down Wisconsin Avenue, headed for the interstate, when he saw people running and then he heard gunshots. He looked over and saw a passenger in a car next to the bus leaning out a window, pointing a gun. More gunfire erupted....

Custom glass window shattered, a couple of holes in the body and a slug remaining in a seat-cushion.  The engine will not start; it's possible that a bullet damaged some electronics.  No one was hurt.  The bus is out of service until the window can be sourced and replaced.

Lou's Limos will no longer be traveling to Milwaukee at night, Landvick said.

If you think that Lou's is the only party-bus/limo outfit which is having second thoughts about driving in Milwaukee at night, you're short a lot of brain-cells.

It is rumored that other party-bus owners are buying tripod-mounted .50cals (M-2s) for their vehicles.

New MKE-area Party Bus picture.  You didn't need all those windows, didja?

  1. Personally, I would return to the literal definition of "riding shotgun"...

  2. Meh. MUCH less firepower than a Ma Deuce. The point is not to scare the goblins. It is to eradicate them.

  3. The last time we went to downtown Milwaukee... was the last time we're ever going to downtown Milwaukee. Went to a supposedly upscale-ish steak restaurant; there was an (obvious) hooker sitting at the bar never looking up from her phone, while the guy she was with (?) was completely wasted. The people walking on the sidewalks outside were depressingly under-dressed and loud. Cars were racing through the intersection, with a good number of them apparently thinking traffic laws are for suckers. The restaurant wasn't super clean, and I'm thinking they're close to just giving up. Very sad experience, all around.
