Who's Pushing the Trump Buttons, and Why?

It's reported that 'China Mitch' McConnell and 'Loser Paul' Ryan are pushing all the anti-Trump buttons, and are likely very pleased with the resulting war of words between people who know Trump was the greatest President since 1865 and those who are green with envy--such as Loser Ryan and China Mitch McConnell.

(Locally, the comms path is clear.  Loser Ryan instructs Robin Vos.  Robin Vos instructs an early-morning RadioMouth, who spends enormous amounts of air-time "analyzing" things.  Today he told us that 'Trump would lose' the '24--but didn't mention against whom.  That might be important to some analysts, but not to Town of Erin.....)

His "analysis" is fine and dandy until you get to the fine print.  Breitbart looked at a Charlie Hurt essay:

... Hurt rejected the idea that establishment Republicans have a case for blaming Trump for midterm losses. He noted that the Republican establishment does not have a great track record with picking winners. For example, former Sens. Martha McSally of Arizona and Kelly Loeffler of Georgia had been handpicked by the Republican establishment to fill vacant Senate seats in red states, but both of them lost their re-election bids in 2020 to Democrats.

“These are two candidates who didn’t even have to face voters,” Hurt said. “It gives them the greatest advantage that any senator has in a Senate race, which is incumbency. And both of those women, who were handpicked by establishment Republicans and dropped in the Senate seats, couldn’t hold on to their seats."

He continued, “So yes, you can blame Donald Trump if you want to, for one lost seat in Georgia, [but] we would not have [Georgia’s Democrat Sen.] Raphael Warnock if not for establishment Republicans dropping a terrible candidate in Kelly Loeffler into that seat.” Hurt said if the establishment is so good at picking candidates, “then explain why [Colorado’s Republican senatorial candidate Joe] O’Dea lost by 12 points.”

He added, “If you’re the establishment Republican Party, and you’re so effing good at all this stuff, then why [do] you pick candidates that even your own voters don’t support?”...

And then there's the obvious Trump track record:

...Not only did President Trump win 219 of his 235 endorsed races (that’s a 93 percent success rate at last count), but the Democrats just guaranteed themselves Joe Biden as their nominee for 2024....

We're not done yet.

DeSantis, who is playing things very, very, very coy, has ultra-large money from ....well.....moneyed players who don't really have a MAGA agenda at all.  But DeSantis was also a founder of the House Freedom Caucus; Jim Jordan is a member.

So if both Trump AND DeSantis are bruised badly enough to lose a primary.......well............Loser Paul and China Mitch will undoubtedly have a solution!!

They've gamed this out.  Who do they like?  Charlie Sykes?  Egg McMuffin?  (Potential) Speaker McCarthy?  Can they buy Ted Cruz again??

Finally:  note that Kleefisch sat on her hands during the raceSpeaks volumes, no?

Stay tuned!!

  1. Not that it matters really but every republican ought to register independent to collapse them. Desantis will Garner resentment if he doesn't get behind trump who was denied an actual presidency. He's young. What's his hurry. Lots of questions about him now due to his own actions and inaction when trump was raided. Can't spin that. The gop is mostly gone. They did not even try to win hoping it would make trump look bad. Permanent Washington ALL hate trump. They don't care who wins. Corrupt. All of them every contest still counted by Flintstones will amazingly break democrat. What a shock. Nobody will notice. We despise permanent gop every molecule as much as permanent dems. Americans are too often fat lazy and stupid now.

  3. Dear Dad. Have you ever voted for a candidate because so-and-so endorsed him?

Of the 13,000 endorsements by Trump how many of those he endorsed asked him to endorse him?

Is there proof that those endorsed by Trump raised more money than those who ran against his endorsed opponent?

How many of those endorsed by Trump ran in majority democrat districts and ho successful were they?

The possible questions about endorsements gets to be a s long as a receipt from Winn-Dixie.

Does America want a long drawn-out POTUS campaign with the media hectoring us about Trump and Vote Denialism and Jan 6h Capitol Invasion?

    I know I don't.

There are more than a few reasons why the expected Red Tsunami/Wave did not materialise.
