This is exactly what Bai-Den said during his campaign, and it's a lesson on the Big Political Lie technique he's using.
President Joe Biden made an apparently unscripted remark Sunday night that there will be "no more drilling" under his watch, in response to someone in the crowd at his rally with Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY)....
...“No more drilling,” he said, waving his hand with a back and forth motion. “There is no more drilling. I haven’t formed any new drilling.” ...
Bai-Den's Big Lie tactics here are simple: he allowed a lot of permits to go through in '21, then stopped them cold in '22. That way he could say that he permitted more than Trump for mid-terms political purposes, and then shut down oil exploration for the rest of his term.
