Well......we know that the NSA has been spying on Americans for at least the last 10 years. It's illegal, but someone's got to do it, right?
Biden fixed that. Now, domestic spying will be legal!
Why do we say that? Because the following was repealed by Biden's Exec Order:
... (b) Privacy and civil liberties shall be integral considerations in the planning of U.S. signals intelligence activities. The United States shall not collect signals intelligence for the purpose of suppressing or burdening criticism or dissent, or for disadvantaging persons based on their ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, or religion. Signals intelligence shall be collected exclusively where there is a foreign intelligence or counterintelligence purpose to support national and departmental missions and not for any other purposes....
Where before it was ILLEGAL to 'collect signals intel for the purpose of suppressing or burdening criticism or dissent,' now it is LEGAL.
Further, where the purpose had been strictly for collecting intel 'where there is a foreign intel or counter-intel purpose,' that language is eliminated. Plain text: they'll spy on you for criticizing them and for dissenting whether or not "foreign" influence is involved.
Summarily: YOU are the targets.
