To Barnes, It's All About Raaaaaaaaaace!

Bice is a very good reporter who--while a bit Lefty--doesn't let that interfere with reporting.

So today's article begins with Mandela Barnes' race-mongering quotation and then takes a few words from Barnes' competitor Nelson, which puts Barnes in his place.

...Outagamie County Executive Tom Nelson, who is running fourth in the polls, argued that Democrats should ignore Republican attempts to drag them into a debate about a political "buzzword."

"We should not be distracted by this," Nelson said. "We shouldn't spend any time even countenancing this."

Instead, Nelson said, Democrats should focus on the issues that matter to Wisconsin's working families. He cited climate change and health care as the topics that should be getting the attention of Democratic candidates.  

"All of my campaigns and my public service has been focused on the bread-and-butter issues that matter to voters to people in our community," Nelson said. ...

Nelson is wrong about which 'issues' are important to voters because he HAS to be wrong.  Being right--that is, naming inflation and gasoline prices--puts the name B-I-D-E-N into play, and that's like drinking hemlock to a Democrat.

But Nelson is right that being the Race Party is a loser game.  Ask Donald Trump, who got huge numbers from blacks and hispanics, and whose legacy is making those numbers even larger today.
