Health "authorities" were all ready to scare the bejabbers out of the population with Monkeypox.
Then it became known that Monkeypox mostly infects active homosexual/bi-sexual men. That accounts for the very, very small number of cases nationally. (In Wisconsin, there are only 2 known cases.)
Despite what we know about its vector, you will NOT find the term 'homosexual' in any of the news stories on the topic from teeeeeeveeeeee and the "newspaper." After all, it's scary, and that's the objective.
But just in case, they've come up with Omicron the MCMXXIV, the "scariest" one yet. It is 'threatening,' with a 'surge,' ringing 'alarm bells.'
Monkeypox out. Covid in.
