MacIver mentions the current Evers ad which uses cute little teachers to lie about his 'education creds.'
How big a lie are they telling? Well, there are a couple of measures.
Evers says that USNews puts Wisconsin schools in the 'top 10.' As MacIver points out, the base-measure was taken after 10 years of 'genius Tony's' stewardship of the Department of Public Instruction. The higher comparative measure was taken during Walker's time in office.
Then there's the chart below. Despite the Republican Legislature's (excessive) spending, which was $2.5 BILLION larger than the '15-'17 budget, Evers' results just plain suck. Remember, 'proficient' means at grade level--so in 2021, only twenty-seven+% of Wisconsin kids could read at grade level, and only 27% could do math at grade level.
Tony grades himself on one helluva big curve. Even then, he's failing. Surprised?
