According to this essay in Bloomberg, the US position vis-a-vis the war: extend it for as long as possible, which will bring down Putin.
Which is just fine and dandy, if you're not a dead Ukrainian, or a refugee Ukrainian, or--for that matter--a dead Russkie soldier.
Hmmmm. The Establishment's total disregard for life, again. In spades.

Ferguson then goes through the military aspects. In short: forget about the western (Kiev/Lvov region) of Ukraine. Look at the Eastern and Southern portions--which are the ones Putin really wants.
Meantime....reminding us of the utter failure of Hilary Clinton (and GWBush, for that matter):

Schwab, Gates, the State Department, the entire Biden Administration, and a good chunk of the GOPe are actively 'nekulturniy' (in Putin terms) and horrifically materialist/secularist (in our terms.) The term "hubris" leaps to mind.
Ferguson concludes:
...In my view — and I really would love to be wrong about this — the Biden administration is making a colossal mistake in thinking that it can protract the war in Ukraine, bleed Russia dry, topple Putin and signal to China to keep its hands off Taiwan....
