Highway Propaganda

Based on the possibility of Umpty-Millions of inflation-dollars showing up in Wisconsin, the Usual Suspects come up with Aaaaaaaaaaalllll the EEEEEEEEEEvils of freeways!! 

A fellow named Reggie Jackson of the Black Holocaust Museum has opinions.

...“If you look at the 50 largest cities in the country, when you look at where the interstates were built, practically all of those freeways were built through Black or Hispanic parts of town. You find that in Milwaukee, you find that in Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans etc.,” said Jackson.

“So, people are very much aware of that and there’s always a fear that those same things are going to happen again.”...

Gee, Reggie!!  How about the Poles and Slavs displaced on the South Side by I-43/94?  Or the Poles, Italians, and Slavs "displaced" by I-894 in Greenfield,  Greendale, and West Allis?  Or all the Rich White Folks 'displaced' by the Edens in Chicago?

Oooops.  Maybe you forgot about them?

 ...Jackson said freeway expansions create “a pathway for whites to leave the city and move out to the suburban communities that were for the most part off limits to Blacks.”...

Hmmmm.  Doesn't the freeway ALSO create 'a pathway for BLACKS to leave the city and move to the suburban communities'?  Ever look around at Pewaukee, Waukesha, Town of Brookfield, or Oconomowoc, Reggie?

As an aside, it's entirely possible that many blacks prefer to stay in their neighborhoods and not be "white" or "Uncle Toms,", right?  

Never mind.  Propaganda is the other name for this newspaper.
