Milwaukee may try a new way to put the brakes on reckless driving by lowering the citywide speed limit to 20 mph.
It would apply to all residential streets that currently don't have speed limit signs.
As Milwaukee battles an epidemic of reckless driving, a new idea is gaining steam.
"The baseline speed limit in the city now if there isn't a sign present it's 25 mph. We believe that should be 20 mph," Department of Public Works Commissioner Jeff Polenske said....
Where have you BEEN, Jeff?? We've waited so long for a genius like you!!!
So they'll cut back from 60++MPH to 20 because you have signs!
