Let's start at the beginning: Nancy Pelosi owns and controls the Capitol Police. That's why there's so much smoke-and-mirrors surrounding the question "why didn't the Capitol Police accept National Guard help?". Simple: Nancy had other plans.
...It appears now from a time-stamped series of videos based on a restored Parler video archive that the Capitol protests escalated into riots in conjunction with the reckless and indiscriminate police discharge of pepper spray and stun grenades into the the crowd....
Pelosi ordered the CapCops to do that, just as she co-ordinated the FBI/Antifa false-flag operations of that day. She deliberately escalated to provoke the crowd.
Were there some people who did the naughty of walking into the Capitol and taking pictures? Sure.
They've been in prison for their political leanings since February. No bail, no "speedy trial."
