The loud and sustained national pushback over "Critical Race Theory" in grade- and high-schools bothers the Left, so they commission more news editorials from the local Pravda. They are also covering up their efforts to racialize curriculum by calling it "Anti-Racism", "Cultural Competency", "Culturally Responsive," "Equity," or "White Privilege."
So the "news" paper throws shade on proposed legislation.
...The [June] rallies were sparked by bills in the state Legislature that many educators fear will curb what they teach and whitewash history when it comes to the experiences of marginalized groups.
If passed, the Republican-backed legislation would ban Wisconsin public schools and colleges from teaching “that one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex" and that people bear responsibility for "acts committed in the past by other individuals of the same race or sex" as them....
(Side-note: there were only about 50 people at those rallies)
Well, now. IS one race superior to another? ARE people born in the last 80 years responsible for slavery in the US which ended in 1865? Are US laws and practices "oppressing" blacks to enrich whites?
Nope. See, e.g., the Civil Rights Acts of 1864, 1964, and the 14th Amendment, along with umpty-thousand Federal and State "affirmative action" programs.
So there's a new hotness objection:
...One unmistakable element of the bills — whose primary authors include Rep. Chuck Wichgers, R-Muskego, Sen. AndrĂ© Jaque, R-De Pere, and Rep. Rick Gundrum, R-Slinger — is their vagueness.
It's unclear what specific lessons could be banned, raising fears among educators that any conversations about systemic racism, equity and roots of slavery could be perceived as out-of-bounds....
Can you smell the flop-sweat in the Teachers' Union ranks? They know perfectly well what that bill bans AND that it licenses parents to sue school districts for pushing propaganda. They know their jobs will be on the line.
What propaganda?
...Critical race theory [in any guise] preaches that the United States was founded on racism, grew to become the successful nation that it is today because of this racism, and that our country, still today, is fundamentally defined by our racism and racism is found in everything that we do and that we do not do....
Aside from the blatant lying about the 'founding racism' and 'fundamentally defined by racism,' the proposed remedy, "equity" is antithetical to the nature of humanity. (That happens to fit perfectly with the un-natural "transgender rights" and "gay marriage" crusades which--along with CRT--are skirmishes preparing the ground for an assault on the family and the church.)
In Virginia, for example:
...The Africa [sic] American Superintendent’s Advisory Council told the state Board of Education that racial equity is the goal. The council defined equity as, “The systematic fair treatment of people of all races, resulting in equitable opportunities and outcomes for all. It is not just the absence of discrimination and inequities, but also the presence of deliberate systems and supports to achieve and sustain racial equity.”...
The most benign way to interpret that last section is "affirmative action." But AA is already in place, by law, all across America. Apparently this 'Advisory Council' has something else in mind.
...Their rhetoric veils the plan to require not only equal opportunities but guaranteed equal outcomes for all students. This aim disregards the liberties protected in the Constitution. It is a textbook Marxist concept that has been proven not to work repeatedly throughout history. ...
In short: no more standards. And "no more standards" means that there is no truth.
Is that what you want your kids to learn?
