U.S. counties in the South and West are seeing an increase in coronavirus cases as the Indian 'Delta' variant continues to spread rapidly in undervaccinated areas.

Areas in states such as Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Wyoming are reporting between 100 and 500 cases per 100,000 people over the last seven days, according to a recent report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This is much higher than the national average of 23.9 infections per 100,000....

Except that "Delta" is not a killer.  England released a study showing only 8 100ths of 1 percent (0.08) fatalities associated with the Indian version of the Chinese bio-weapon.

That will require about 87,000 new IRS agents, armed of course--just what Biden* calls for in his new budget proposal.

The Biden* "infrastructure" deal is not accompanied by a tax increase, but IRS will get another $40 BILLION over 10 years.

That's a bunch, considering its current ops budget is ~$11Bn.

With that up-bulking, IRS is supposed to find $100Bn in "rich folks" who were evading taxes.

Neither the Wall Street Journal, nor Scott Johnson at PowerLine, nor I believe that "rich folks" would evade to the tune of $100 BILLION.  They didn't get rich by being stupid.

The logic he uses begins with the proposition that CoVid19 is a bioweapon and it is a weapon because of its 'spike' protein.

Why the Gaslight From Robin Vos?

Below we wrote that Speaker Robin Vos is attempting to gaslight Wisconsin citizens about the 2020 election.

Why?

Simple.  Vos wrote (or approved) the laws on the books during the '20 Fraud.  Were it to develop that his laws allowed significant fraud and cheating (they did), Vos would look like the fool.

He also appointed two useless appendages to the Wisconsin Election Commission Board--who rolled over and supported Democrat-activist cheat-enablers on that same Board.  Strike Two.

Finally, while Mark Belling was screaming his head off about the "drop-boxes" and "vote-in-the-park" games Madison (and Milwaukee) were playing, Vos was apparently too busy managing lobbyists (eating free and taking money) to pay attention to the cheating.

Do not wonder why Vos is slow-walking action and slip-slide talking.  It's all on him.

Now the question is 'whether the cops and Gableman can write a report that makes Robin happy.'

Vos Gaslighting Us?

There are FOUR SINS which cry out to Heaven for vengeance.  Abortion (murder) is one of them.  Sodomy is another.  Oppressing the poor is a third, and injustice to the wage earner is the fourth. 

Whatever "un-Catholic acts" were endemic to the Trump Administration (or Bush's), Douthat can cite,  none of them are one of the Four.  And Trump is not a Catholic.

The Bishops do not face a dilemma.  They know what the rules are (see Canon 915) and they must proceed.  This is not tiddlywinks.

By the way, the Kennedy, Johnson, and Clinton Administrations were also filled with "un-Catholic" acts, albeit only John Kennedy was baptized Catholic.  But then, there were plenty of Catholics who were in those administrations, too--right, Mr. Douthat?

Perhaps Rep. Gaetz could ask Milley to return and explain that "abortion related" part of the "training."  We'd love to hear it.

We've called the temporary Governor of Wisconsin "Tin-Pot Tony" for quite some time.  He really thinks that he is a dictator.

As it turns out, he's alienating Democrats, too.

On Biden* and Canon Law

This will be brief.  In an old essay on the topic, we see this:

That was from now-Cdl. Burke when he reigned as Bishop of LaCrosse.  Note the red-highlighted part which makes it clear that it IS the obligation of a priest to DENY the Sacrament to those who 'support procured abortion'.  (There are other reasons besides that and euthanasia, of course.)

We're sure that Bp. Callahan, now in LaCrosse, is aware of this.

So we drove a few miles to catch Kevin Nicholson (No Better Friend) and the 'anti-CRT' thing he put on last night in Waukesha.  Quite a road-show!  A dozen staffers, organized well.....

Crowd was about 500 or so, so the show started late.  Nicholson's opening remarks left little doubt that he's running for a Pubbie nomination again, whether for Governor or Senate.

Stayed through the first two speakers, one describing CRT's claims very well, the other decrying CRT's implication that blacks cannot possibly succeed at living on their own.

Saw a Leggie there who was leaving early to attend a forensic-audit meeting with a couple other Leggies.  It's clear that if you want a full-bore audit in Wisconsin, it's time to put the heat to your representative.  Vos doesn't want to hear from voters and doesn't really give a flying damn what they think.

A recent study from UW-Madison researchers draws a connection between declining crop diversity and dwindling bumble bee populations in the Midwest....

The new study shows that most native bumble bee species across six Midwest states saw population declines while the average number of different crops grown in those areas also decreased. ...

There's a solution:  Big Ag should get into flowers!

The inventor of mRNA vaccines said 'the government is not being transparent about the risks' of the COVID-19 vaccine after YouTube deleted a video where he discussed potential risks for young adults and teens. 

Dr. Robert Malone, who invented the mRNA technology that's now being used in the COVID-19 vaccine, told Fox's Tucker Carlson on Wednesday night that there isn't enough data about the risks for these age groups and doesn't believe they should be forced to get vaccinated.

 I don't think the benefits outweigh the risks in that cohort,' said Malone, referring to people in the 18 to 22 age bracket, 'but unfortunately the risk-benefit analysis is not being done.'

'My concern is I know there are risks but we don't have access to the data,' Malone said. 'And so, I am of the opinion that people have the right to decide whether to accept vaccines or not, especially since these are experimental vaccines.'...
