Pay attention to what's happening here, as it will seriously affect what you can purchase.
...Gavin Newsom welcomed the announcement Monday by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that the Biden administration will restore California’s waiver under the Clean Air Act to set its own vehicle emissions standards....
Assuming California goes back to its pre-Trump standards, automakers will either have to build two different engines for vehicles (one for CA and one for everyone else) OR they will build only one engine which will match CA standards. Either way, the cost of manufacture will go up to recover new regulatory costs and engine performance is likely to drop.
So here's the question: will California dictate engine technology for Nebraska? Ohio? Florida? Wisconsin?
Good for California, great for America. 10th Amendment in action.
