Pregger Uniforms, Yes! Combat Fitness?....Not So Much

Looks like 'defense of the country' will fall to the ordinary citizens.  Not the Bee quotes the London Telegraph here:

The US Army is considering a reversal of its new gender-neutral physical test to instead include different evaluation categories for men and women.

Research showed that the Army Combat Fitness Test [ACFT], which is the same for male and female soldiers, was leading to lower results for women with a knock-on effect for promotions.

Surely the Pentagon's spokes-critter will clarify this.

Do they still have to be able to aim, shoot, and field-strip guns?

  1. The opposite effect -- that women get promoted much more easily because they have lower physical standards -- has had a big negative effect on morale for some years. This was an opportunity to correct it, which the Army is determined to miss.
