Tin-Pot Tony Evers is demanding several tax increases in his budget proposal. Many of them are hidden in dark corners of the basement, such as the provisions having to do with local levy exemptions.
Note well: the Republicans are NOT your saviors. They like tax increases, too. Just not as much as the Socialist-Marxists Democrats.
So. Where to start?
How about this: Wisconsin is the 5th-highest tax-taker in the US when combining State and local tax burden.
Let me repeat that, in case you missed it:

You might call your Ass- or Senate- legislator and complain loudly about that.
Know what will happen?
They'll still take more, and they'll feel good about it because it shows that they care. Because spending lots of money is the same as "caring."
