Some Left-ish folks will answer the title-question with a snort: ".....a long time ago."
Limbaugh's principal flaw is his unyielding--some might say blind--loyalty to Ayn Rand-style capitalism, which is just plain wrong. We live in a nominally capitalist nation with fairly heavy regulation; the argument is always over "how MUCH regulation? how MUCH taxation? what to pay for? what TO regulate?". Those are good arguments to have. Those are the discussions behind The Wall, ObamaCare, various taxes, and labor relations.
Tucker Carlson kicked off a long and healthy debate about "creative destruction" which had the libertarian and ultra-capitalist morons in hair-on-fire screech mode, and the Left-ish folks running the "replay" over and over to see if perhaps they mis-heard something. It's a very good debate to have.
Anyhow. Limbaugh proclaimed yesterday that fentanyl is simply not as dangerous as everyone seems to think; in fact, he (effectively) praised the drug cartels for their judicious use of the substance which is 'only used to increase their profits, rather than to kill their customers.' He rattled on about how the Russkis managed to utilize fentanyl to kill off a bunch of Muslim terrorists....yadayada....
Ayn Rand rides again!!
Obviously, Limbaugh got purchased by some NO WALL interest, since most of the fentanyl comes through the wide-open border which also happens to provide cheap labor for meatpackers, landscapers, and roofers.
So here's Limbaugh's trade: his pals get cheap labor. You get a bunch of dead Americans.
Deal??
Here's a bit more on the topic, with a British flavor.
