Yes, this is 'inside baseball.' But the Catholic Church remains important in this world, some of it is good to know; information lends to good decision-making.
Recently, Cdl. O'Malley of Boston slammed Cdl. Dolan of NYC for having 'covered up' for a predator priest (who is now in California.)
O'Malley's action comes a few months after Dolan 'let slip' the dirt on ex-Cdl. McCarrick, who is arguably the most dangerous predator-Cardinal in US history. The Dolan release precipitated the fall of McCarrick and his "de-Cardinalization." McCarrick was also a Diamond Crown-level fund-raiser for the Vatican. His fall hurt Pp. Francis' plans, to say the least.
(I'd be willing to bet 25 cents that Dolan or one of his allies in the US also triggered the donation-holdback from Legatus....)
Well, McCarrick was very tight with Pp. Francis, as is Cdl. O'Malley--and abracadabra!! we have O'Malley 'letting slip' a bit of dirt on Dolan.
Now comes Fred Martinez, who joins me in thinking that the hit job on Dolan was ordered by Pp. Francis. But that's not all. He also connects some dots (remember, this is speculation) between the molestation-trial of Cdl. Pell and the outright firing of Bp. Finn of Kansas City. Both those men were outspokenly opposed to Francis' "Green-church" flapjaw--and along with Dolan, were vocally opposed to Francis' homosexualist agenda proposals at the 'synod on the family' of a couple years ago. And both of them may have been railroaded--Pell by accusers with VERY shaky and ancient stories, and Finn with what amounts to a "process crime," similar to what Gen. Mike Kelly was convicted for.
Mixed in there is a thread of Opus Dei, too.
Hold tight to your seats and make certain you're praying hard for the good of the Church!!
