I’ve noted elsewhere hat this is reminiscent of 1968 and the dustup over Humanae Vitae.
ReplyDeleteThe difference is that back then the Pope was clear and the objectors were not – other than being clearly wrong. This time it’s the Pope who is not clear – resulting in confusion and contradictory assertions by some national hierarchies.
