The Civil War in the Church, Part VI

This had to happen sooner or later.

Four Cardinals have publicly released their letter to the Pope from April 25, 2017 unsuccessfully asking him for a private audience to discuss “confusion and disorientation” within the Church after the publication of the Pope’s April 2016 Exhortation Amoris Laetitia.

In the letter Cardinals lament the great division in the Church on basic morality as a result of the pope's exhortation.

“And so it is happening — how painful it is to see this! — that what is sin in Poland is good in Germany, that what is prohibited in the archdiocese of Philadelphia is permitted in Malta," they wrote....

It's signed by Cdls. Caffarra, Burke, Meisner, and Brandmuller, all of whom have been subject to verbal abuse by various bureaucrats who owe their pathetic 'careers' to Pp. Francis.  In the case of Burke, Pp. Francis manufactured a reason to fire him from his assignment with the Knights of Malta, too.

Prayer and fasting is recommended.

  1. Reluctantly, I have come to the conclusion that Pope Francis is an aberration for the Church. Perhaps not – as some believe – the anti-Christ, but certainly not helping the coming of the Kingdom of Christ on earth.

That Cardinals have to beseech him to bring clarity to his ‘teaching’ is indicative enough of a disordered pontificate. While he preaches ‘humility’ and ‘mercy’, he fails to practice what he preaches. Instead of clarity, he sows dissension and division.

So, what do we call someone who says one thing and does another? Our Lord told us – Pharisees, hypocrites and whited sepulchers!

    If the shoe fits, Francesco…
