When Bill Clinton was President, the nation learned how to parse words carefully.
So. When the Archdiocese of New York blabbers about "allowing people" to walk in the St Patrick's Day parade, it is important to note that ALL "people" have been allowed to 'walk in the parade.'
But they have NOT been allowed to carry signage, posters, banners, or flags which contradict or derogate from Catholic teachings.
Until now.
One may ask "why."
Here's the simple rule: Follow The Money.
Same as with Milwaukee's adoption of Common Core for its remaining Catholic schools: it is the money from the Choice program that drove that decision, not pedagogy, nor Catholic cultural values.
It's true: a man cannot serve two masters.
Evidence for the second from last paragraph? None.

An article entitled "CARDINAL DOLAN AFFIRMS 'CONFIDENCE' IN ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARADE AFTER GAY MARCHERS ALLOWED" does nothing to establish your claim that it was the "Same ... with [the Archdiocese of] Milwaukee's adoption of Common Core for its remaining Catholic schools: it is the money from the Choice program that drove that decision, not pedagogy, nor Catholic cultural values."
My point stands.
Here ya go, dumbass:
ReplyDelete...After years of fighting, including years of political boycotts and court cases, what tipped the balance this year was the intrusion of major corporations into the mix. Guinness pulled out as a sponsor this past March, as did Heineken. The Ford Motor Company was threatening to pull out, as were others. IrishCentral.com reported that financial pressure, along with a change of guard at the organizing committee, forced the decision to allow LGBT activists to march....
Right there in the linked article. I know that self-proclaimed "philosophy" folk can read more than headlines; what's your malfunction?
Not bothering with your inane comments any more.
