They're Gone

Bob Owens reports:

...The cases of ammunition that typically lined the far wall were picked to pieces. There was a 100-round case of .50 BMG, and cases of European shotshells suitable for small game. The .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, 7.62×39, 7.62 NATO, and 7.62x54R had sold out long ago, along with the bulk 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP. A few pump shotguns remained along with a smattering of deer rifles, single-shots, and longer double-barreled shotguns suitable only for trap or skeet. Even the semi-automatic .22LR rifles like Ruger 10/22s were gone, along with all but one BX-25 magazine

... They didn’t know when they’d be getting anything back in stock, from magazines to rifles to pistols. Manufacturers were running full-bore, but couldn’t come close to keeping up with market demand. It wasn’t just the AR-15s, the AK-pattern rifles, the M1As, and the FALs that were sold out. It really hit me when I realized that the World War-era M1 Garands , M1 carbines, and Enfield .303s were gone, along with every last shell. Ubiquitous Mosin-Nagants—of which every gun store always seems to have 10-20—were gone. So was their ammo. Only a dust free space marked their passing. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100+ years was gone...

Well.  That's a sign of something.

  2. Keep in mind, I ordered this back in November, and am getting it now. The place I ordered from is out of all 5.56 and .223 at the moment. They still have many of the pistol cals, though.

He's preparing to keep his family safe.

What are you planning anon 11:22? to cower in fear before your family?

Nah. That's the sheeple, led by Obozo and Feinstein.

  8. Who's cowering in fear? The person who runs out and buys a few thousand rounds of ammunition because the bogeyman could be at the front door or the person who doesn't?

  9. Umm. I'm not afraid of anything. I bought the ammo because I could. I intend to use it. So save your lefty wet dreams for something else. I exercise my Constitutional rights. If you don't shoot, you can't improve. As to home invasion, not worried much as I live in a decent enough area and I lock my doors. As to marching on Washington, I won't have to. If it ever gets THAT bad, Washington will come to you.

AnnHorseColon thinks his smartass big mouth coupled with his sub-100 IQ will be his bartering defense.

    Good luck with that, c*cksuck*r.

Like usual, your liberal superhero shield is made out of saran wrap...agendas pathetically visibly obvious, weak, and plastic.

    Glad...meet Remington.

  11. To paraphrase a militia captain, in 1773 and at Lexington when the government tried to seize the People's arms: If they want a war, let it start here and now!".

  12. Well, the nut-job hoarders, after no change occurred when Obama took office (other than extending carry rights to national parks) assured us he was just waiting for T2 to ram through his anti-gun agenda. Should be any day now, right? If absolutely nothing happens, would you please admit that you are nothing but a nut-job hoarder?

  15. According to Jimbo I'm a nutjob hoarder since I bought a gun to protect myself in this world.

Jimmy, Why does Barack Hussein Obama have bodyguards with guns?

Do you really think his life is more important than mine?

  16. Some of us are responsible adults. Protecting the family, ya'know.

    Others--not so much.

  17. I own guns both for hunting and protection. Many liberals do. We did NOT, however, rush out after the election to buy more because we feared the government would be swooping in shortly to confiscate all guns.

  18. I have guns. I have adquate ammo. I have no fear that anyone's coming to take either away from me.

  19. So, Tim: what if some Gummint types DID try to take them away?

    What then?

  20. I'm surprised there was any ammunition available at all, what with the Feds buying 20 bazillion rounds for Homeland "Security" and the IRS, et al. To those who have no worries about the government moving closer to gun-confiscation mode, ask yourself why the government requires this firepower,

As for the slimeballs in the bullet business who are merrily selling their wares to Washington I am, of course, reminded of Lenin's famous dictum: "the Capitalists will compete with each other to sell us the rope we will hang them with."

Please give us concrete examples of how the government is moving toward gun confiscation? Be precise.
