Selective "News" From Channel Six

On the 9:00 "news" from Channel Six, we learned that Congress passed the Sandy Relief bill.  The news-reader stated that the bill had been delayed.

Completely un-mentioned was the rest of the story:

...At least $17 billion in the bill was targeted towards emergency spending to assist victims of the Oct. 29 super storm that struck the East Coast and killed 140 people. The House added another $33 billion in unrelated spending that includes $10 million for FBI salaries, $2 billion for road construction across the country, as well as funding for the Head Start program, and roof repairs at the Smithsonian.

The Channel Six "news" team decided that the pork-fest--the cause of the delay--wouldn't be mentioned on the air.

That's what passes for "reporting" these days.

  4. Yup. You could say that the PUBBIES added a zillion in pork-o-slobber.

    True.

That's why many of us are buying more ammo.

  6. Um, Dad29, remember that you have voted for some of those Pubbies.

As far as "buying more ammo", put your money where your mouth is. Go to DC with guns blazin' and see what happens. Or, run for office in the primary. Or, renounce the (R) party and work to have the Tea Partiers form their own. You bitterly complain how the (R)'s overall lack conservative principles, yet you support them in elections. So much for scruples!
