Rand Paul, the Rights Senator

Don't want to go to all the fuss and bother of shooting down your local drone?

Well, Rand Paul has a solution!!!

..."Like other tools used to collect information in law enforcement, in order to use drones a warrant needs to be issued," Paul said Tuesday. "Americans going about their everyday lives should not be treated like criminals or terrorists and have their rights infringed upon by military tactics."

The bill, S. 3287, would require the government to obtain a warrant to use drones with the exception of patroling national borders, when drones are needed to prevent "imminent danger to life" or when there are risks of a terrorist attack.

The bill would also give Americans the ability to sue the government for violating the act. And, it would prohibit evidence collected with warrantless drone surveillance from being used as evidence in court.

It's a start.

It's a start we shouldn't have had to start in the first place.

    These are un-manned drones...computer driven.

A whole new army of hackers are going to emerge bringing these things down.

    Like all hackers,
some will do it for spite,
some will do it for nefarious purposes,
some will do it because these drones are completely wrong to begin with,
some will do it because they hate the present form and circumstance of today's government,
some will do it because they hate McCain and what he pulled here,
some will do it for the challenge,
some will do it to learn the technology of the drones,
and, like most hackers, most will do it just because they can.

Just as long as they do it.

The equilateral issue here is now this new cost to us taxpayers...once again, FORCED through taxation to subsidize our own demise.

How is this egregious complete usurpation of Posse Comitatus not halfway to re-election by suspended election revolution?

The complete ignoring of one law to enact another law designed to, once again, oppress and limit the powers and rights of The People?!

Just like tasers emboldened otherwise pussy modern cops, the local shit unfinest in blue are just foaming at the mouth to get their hands on these latest pieces of completely unconstitutional infractions into our privacy.

It is completely amazing to me what The People are just letting happen to this country...just ignoring the complete totalitarianism creep into our freedoms.

As long as you have your beer and TV at night, eh 100 IQ'ers?

Just remember, that Escalade that just blew by you on the freeway breaking all speed limits?

    That's a cop...in his private vehicle...untouchable...

    ...or so he thinks.

    Blue Vomit.

  2. Hey, our alleged 150+ IQ, "alpha male" contributor is back. Hooray!

FAA rules impede the use of drones for now; America privacy law does not prohibit the use of drones within our borders. Citizens do not generally enjoy a reasonable expectation of privacy in public, nor even in the portions of their property visible from a public vantage. In 1986, the Supreme Court found no search where local police flew over the defendant’s backyard with a private plane. A few years later, the Court admitted evidence spotted by an officer in a helicopter looking through two missing roof panels in a greenhouse. Neither the Constitution nor common law appears to prohibit police or the media from routinely operating surveillance drones in urban and other environments.

If anything, observations by drones may occasion less scrutiny than manned aerial vehicles. Several prominent cases, and a significant body of scholarship, reflect the view that no privacy violation has occurred unless and until a human observes a person, object, or attribute. Just as a dog might sniff packages and alert an officer only in the presence of contraband, so might a drone scan for various chemicals or heat signatures and alert an officer only upon spotting the telltale signs of drug production.

    TO: Anonymous 6/16/2012 8:08 AM :

...with my ignorant halfwit detractor responder Ann viping right at my heels, as per usual...

There is just too much wrong and erroneous in your response and facts for me to even waste time responding.

    Forest for the trees, Ann.

    Three dimensional thinking, Ann.

For openers, when did you ever know the law, cops, courts, or judges ever to act, do, and be constitutional?

In a proper economy, a dollar can be worth a relative dollar.

In a POORLY RUN and CORRUPT economy, a dollar will be worth 10 cents.

From a HEINOUSLY RUN CORRUPT goverment and judiciary don't cite to me 10 cent precendents set by bad decisions from equally terrible public sector employe judges watching the backs of their public sector crony cops...both stroking the foreskins of their public sector hellfriends, the politicians.

You gotta be kidding me if you believe the crap you just wrote.

If you want to scribe your puss to Orwellian, that's your fuckup.

But, as per usual, all you're REALLY doing is devil-advocating ANYTHING I surmise.

You are so hell-bent on devil-advocating me I don't think you even read what you write.

Tell Daniel Boone there are drones flying over HIS America watching HIM and tell me what he says.

You wanna live in a gulag, Boris, then you deserve everything you get.

As for moi...don't tread on me...my boots are bigger and much meaner than yours'.

Never ever forget, Ann...those that don't go on the offensive will ALWAYS end up on the defensive.

    Think about it.

    It's your choice.

  4. "There is just too much wrong and erroneous in your response and facts for me to even waste time responding."

The situations I cited, those decisions were written by conservative justices on the Supreme Court. I hardly think you with your GED can intellectually take on those brilliant minds, hence your statement.

"For openers, when did you ever know the law, cops, courts, or judges ever to act, do, and be constitutional?"

You're right, everyday our justice system screws the common man for funzies. But, you know what would be best for us if you were in charge, right?

"From a HEINOUSLY RUN CORRUPT goverment and judiciary don't cite to me 10 cent precendents set by bad decisions from equally terrible public sector employe judges watching the backs of their public sector crony cops...both stroking the foreskins of their public sector hellfriends, the politicians."

Thank you, thank you very much. And for my next trick, I'll need a crowbar, a piece of string, and some cheese.

"As for moi...don't tread on me...my boots are bigger and much meaner than yours'."

All talk. I bet McVeigh and Kaczinski are your heroes, you sicko.

Ho, boy, jackass on the halfshell...at pennies a suck...

    Here we go again...

    XTC: "...let's begin..."

What would be best for us is if you would learn, finally fucking learn, to write a sentence, punctuate, spell, and use grammar like a big boy.

Couldja do that for us, little fella? That's the boy...

You WOULD moniker SCOTUS justices "brilliant minds". With that completely incompetent and erroneous postulate, I'll call your pea-brain "brilliant" as well. You and your "brilliant" "judgy" types can soil each other in the sandbox in Washington Square Park. Speakers' Corner in diapers, I'm guessing.

By the by, Ann. Have you actually met and spoken with your demi-gods to assess their brilliance? I didn't think so... Just another gnat following the swarm, aren'tcha...ya little bug.

Ahhh, another American using the word "hero" like the word "the". Another lemming, even in pen, having to present the latest everyman cultural exploitation for lack of any original authorship. Pick your nose, you're a hero. Suck a lemon, you're a hero. Choose the latest in fashion jockstraps, you're a hero.

Be an Ann, you're a hero...or you think others have them.

Ann...how can you ponder yourself in the looking glass every AM knowing you're wrong ALL OF THE TIME...and, of course, you cannot write either.

By the by, you really WOULDN'T want to meet my boot...truly. Some sage advice best well heeded...

    Ahhhh, it's a shame....

  6. Note that you did not deny that McVeigh and Kaczinski are your boyzzz.

Ahhh, it's a shame. At least they had the guts to do what you want to do.

    TO: Ann 6/22/2012 2:32 PM:

I truly am your secret idol, aren't I?

Once again, for lack of your own creativity, you plaguarize my pen.

You truly are the longest tampon.

Doth quoth Shakespeare...you are a tool.
