McCotter's Out (!!!!) Honor's In

We've observed that Thad McCotter is a very bright guy--almost a Russell Kirk.  So it's no surprise that he acts with honor, too.

...It is a stunning turnaround for McCotter. A year ago, he announced a long-shot run for the Republican presidential nomination, which he dropped after a few months. But he appeared ready to coast to victory in a newly drawn district that shored up Republican support.

Then, last weekend, as he returned from a congressional delegation trip to Taiwan, McCotter learned the state Secretary of State's Office had found problems with the signatures needed in support of his re-election campaign.

This week, it came to light that the vast majority of the 1,830 signatures were duplicated, some with the dates changed.

After reviewing the signatures, McCotter -- at a loss to explain what had happened -- requested the Secretary of State pull his name from the ballot and turn the matter over to the state Attorney General's Office for investigation.

Talk about being 'underserved'....
